    Hi friends,
    Today in this video I am sharing yet another traditional recipe of Mangalore, and that is fenugreek and rice porridge, which we mangaloreans commonly call as Metheda ganji.
    In Tulunadu, on the new moon day of Ashadh moth, which we mangaloreans call as Aati amavaase, early in the morning a decotion is prepared from the bark of paale tree, which we call as paleda kethe da kashaya, which is bitter in taste and is believed to solve a lot of health problems, which is then followed by fenugreek and rice porridge for breakfast.
    This recipe is very common in every mangalorean household, because of its simplicity and health benefits. These basic ingredients when combined together is tasty as well as yummy.
    Ingredients:
    Methi / fenugreek seeds- 1 tblsp
    Rice- 1 glass
    Coconut - 1/2 (if it’s big)
    (extract 1 glass thick coconut milk and 1 glass thin coconut milk)
    Salt and ghee as per taste.
