How much mileage does it give you? I get around 6-7 kmpl...don't know what to do. I love the car too much to buy a new car. The car is in a different league in terms of build quality.
Even im having the same issue. I see there is no proper replacement for this car in the market and I really dont want to sell it. It’s still like new. It turns 15 in a few months and I’m not ready to let it go.
I have same model in white colour and driven 141000km driven...still it's performing good. Driven continuously 980kms..supported me well...need proper maintenance required to keep this jet live. I have put LPG kit at 50000kms to reduce the running cost with no difference in it perfomance..lovely car ❤️
@@gagannijjar3506 not really. These days service costs around 5000₹. Service cycle is every 10,000km or once a year. Spares are still available and aren’t costing much.

Even I have a 2010 model SX4 which we bought new. Till now 23000 kms driven with hardly any problems experienced. I even took it to vaishno devi from Delhi with full packed capacity. I love this car and have maintained it as good as new. Hopefully if the 20 years rule for personal car stays then I'm gonna run it till its life. Its a horse of highways in short.

We've sx4 zxi, it'll turn 15 next year. We've to sell it bcz of delhi 15 years norms. Fantastic built quality, as it also survived a minor accident. It's engine is best in this segment. Boot space is also very good, we generally keep it full during tours.
We have 2007 ZXi, with after market CNG. Total KMs 1 lakh kms done. I am still thinking to continue with my car if i get extension for 5 more years. It is still new and running with almost all original mechanical parts . You wont believe even clutch plates are still factory fitted . Generally we only change engine oil, filters, spark plugs, battery, tyres (3 rd set installed now). So nothing apart from this we do apart from normal service. We have covered north(Hilly region is our hometown) and west india on long road trips also with this car.

Steering hardness could be because of the refurbished column work done. I have a vxi 2008 December manufactured 2009 January KA04 registered now at 150k kms..got the steering refurbished at ₹9k..after that it is hard.
Mine is sx4 vxi 2009 model pre-owned car, clocked 120000km recently. Engine refinement, power delivery is like a new car,just a problem with it's steering rack,its quite hard as compared to new generation cars. Recently did overhauling of steering rack at local shop eg.rack bushings replaced nd all still steering is not that smooth. MAS tlod me to change whole steering rack assembly which cost approx 40k...any solutions? Otherwise car is just phenomenal in terms of performance, i won't sell in near future..love sx4
@@sandipkale9351 check bodomo online..I think the part is cheaper compared to Maruti authorised service. Mass quoted me about 30k to replace the entire steering rack in bangalore.
@@sandipkale9351 It costed me 32K including the labor at MASS. They have steering gear on 2 item code, the older one will cost about 38K while the newer one is cheaper by 8K. Walk into the spares section of any MASS and inquire with them. FYI - SX4 steering gear for diesel model may about a bit more close to 35K.
Petrol gives 12 to 13 max in goa city driving. Highway driving gives around 15 to 16 if you maintain speed of 80. My speeds are high so I usually get 14 on highways. Diesel engine will give better overall mileage.
@@shivoham2255 No difference in real life. All big capacity engines will give similar mileage. For eg corolla 1.8 petrol gives 10 in city and 13 on highways. Accord 2.4 petrol gives 8 in city and 10 on highways. That is why manufacturers now a days have launched small capacity but turbo petrol engines. Good power without sacrificing fuel economy.

I think I'm eligible to answer your question as I somewhat managed to fix it in my SX4 ZXI 2007 model, after spending a lot of Money nearly 50K on replacement of 4 mounts/bedding, full clutch assembly, NGK iridium spark plugs, K&N Air filter, throttle body cleaning(lost the count), Injector cleaning(lost the count). Ultimately, the drive shaft replacement fixed this problem. I have done extensive research to get rid of this issue, SX4 2007 and 2008 models were produced with faulty drive shafts and Maruti silently replaced it under warranty for those customers complained about low idle, shuddering and jerky pick up on first and second gear. Many non enthusiast customers ignored this problem as Maruti dealers could easily convince them claiming the behaviour is normal in all petrol SX4s comes with M16 engine. Anyways, I hope my answer will help you, though its a bit lengthy.

I have may 2007 sx4 (first batch). Just completed 65k. Even after 14 years, runs like new and no problems at all in all 14 years of ownership.

Mine gives around 6-7 during spirited driving. If the car is serviced and the tyres are in good condition and balanced, i can take out about 11-13.

I purchased the same Zxi 2010, same color, only problem is mileage, not able to get anything beyond 6-7 kmpl don't know why, have to run it on cng

Petrol gives 12 to 13 max in goa city driving. Highway driving gives around 15 to 16 if you maintain speed of 80. My speeds are high so I usually get 14 on highways. Diesel engine will give better overall mileage.

No difference in real life. All big capacity engines will give similar mileage. For eg corolla 1.8 petrol gives 10 in city and 13 on highways. Accord 2.4 petrol gives 8 in city and 10 on highways. That is why manufacturers now a days have launched small capacity but turbo petrol engines. Good power without sacrificing fuel economy.

Just got confused as one of my friends suggested me to go with the VVT engine over the old one as the old one has poor fuel efficiency (he said the old engine delivers 8-9 in city, 10-11 on highways whilst the VVT engine delivers 10-12 in city and 14-15 on highways. So, I got confused. Please advise.

@@mohakberry7966 did everything, like throttle body cleaning, oxygen sensor change , throttle recalibration. But problem still there

I think I'm eligible to answer your question as I somewhat managed to fix it in my SX4 ZXI 2007 model, after spending a lot of Money nearly 50K on replacement of 4 mounts/bedding, full clutch assembly, NGK iridium spark plugs, K&N Air filter, throttle body cleaning(lost the count), Injector cleaning(lost the count). Ultimately, the drive shaft replacement fixed this problem. I have done extensive research to get rid of this issue, SX4 2007 and 2008 models were produced with faulty drive shafts and Maruti silently replaced it under warranty for those customers complained about low idle, shuddering and jerky pick up on first and second gear. Many non enthusiast customers ignored this problem as Maruti dealers could easily convince them claiming the behaviour is normal in all petrol SX4s comes with M16 engine.
