NMO Roof Mount Install On My 2013 F150

Video talking about the steps that I took to install a nmo mount on the roof of my 2013 F150. After I had done the hood mount on my f150, I was wanting to get a little more range into some area repeaters that I just couldnt get into with my current setup. not too bad but if it was possible i would have moved it farther forward to get a better ground plane as the 2m antennas usually need 3ft around the base for good ground reflection but otherwise will work

Would of like to of done that, but this truck has support ribs on the roof which made it not possible to do so. Thanks for watching

Next time use a 3/4" Greenlee knock out to make your hole. It is much easier to use and it does a better job. A little bit of grease spread on the "O" ring will keep it from wadding up when you tighten the ring.

FINALLY someone who knows what a Chassis punch is and when it should be used.

A Greenlee 3/4" knockout punch makes a 1.2" hole for a 3/4" electrical fitting. I'm all for the punch knockout idea, but they are expensive and getting the right one isn't so straight forward.
