I'm missing to add i.e. percussion layout (which instruments were) and fingering charts for extended techniques. There for pitches have to be included to the instructions.
What I need to do is create a title page and have it applied to all the parts. I'm not finding an option that will allow me to do this. Any suggestions?
If you edit the 'First' Master page (which is basically a template) for a part then it'll apply to apply to all the parts. Don't edit the part directly as that will just apply overrides. We have some other videos on Master Pages too: ruclips.net/channel/UCIOwP19omIVDSUq2rTGgHKwsearch?query=master+pages

What's the names of the fonts used for the title and the Dorico Edition at the bottom?
Hello. Today I bought Dorico Elements, but I don't see all those options in the tab called "Engrave". Are those options only available in Dorico Pro? Thank you.
@@MikaelRatilainen That's Ctrl-9 on Windows or Cmd-9 on Mac or there's a little arrow on the very far right edge of the screen in Engrave mode. In Write mode the RH zone needs to be in Panels mode (not popovers) and then you can click on any of the buttons on the right. See steinberg.help/dorico/v4/en/dorico/topics/write_mode/write_mode_right_zone_r.html or steinberg.help/dorico/v4/en/dorico/topics/write_mode/write_mode_notations_toolbox_r.html for more about that in Write mode
What's the total number of points a page has on each side? I'm trying to figure out what the exact middle is, but I'm not sure how to do it... Also, is there a way to create lines, other than with the border of a text frame? I'd like to create a coloured line, for instance, but can't seem to find a way to do it. Thanks!
Graphics always sit in the middle of their frame, so make that full-width too. We do have plans one day for aligning / centering etc tools for frames though.
What about the page overrides which are forbidden? I have tried to create a page templet for text page with a text frame built in intending to add text later but I can't do that as the text frame I have created doesn't appear besides the frame creation page... I have tried to put in text in the template itself but it wont be showing in write mode... To eventually add a text in the preface page I had to re create a text frame but again I am getting a page override mark red... So there is no need to create a template page because it is not functional for whatever reason... thanking in advanced for an answer.
If you add a text frame directly on the page then it will be an override. If you make a page template first then you can add the text or a text token to the page template and apply the page template to the page where you want it.
In Engrave Mode I'm unable to see (locate) the Frames button on the upper left so I can add text frames. Mine reads: "Format Music Frames." What might I be doing wrong or not seeing? Any suggestions?
This panel has been updated slightly When in Engrave mode now click on the second button from the top (in the LH panel) and then you'll see the frames buttons.
@@RichardWhite_Composer I can't attach pictures here to show you unfortunately, so here's a link to our documentation: steinberg.help/dorico_pro/v3/en/dorico/topics/engrave_mode/engrave_mode_window_r.html In the diagram at the point labelled '1' on the left hand side are four new buttons running top to bottom. 1) I don't have the frame button in my engrave sect. in Dorico 4 . 2). I can't add any content to my text frame. 3). This doesn't work as decrived here, u.i. is different.
Thanks, Anthony. This was very clear, helpful, and concise!
This new series of videos is great. Thank you.
I missed how you added the horizontal lines above the title and below the composer.

Hey, is there a way to copy the title page if I need it for more than one layout?

Yes, I am wondering myself! It says "Bonning Narrow" in the video but I do not see that anywhere in my edition of Dorico.

How can i get visible that pages sidebar on the left. Mine doesnt have it 😄
On the left? The zones are Cmd-7 for the left, Cmd-8 for the lower and Cmd-9 for the right. Swap Cmd for Ctrl if you are using Windows
Sorry i mean on the right. It doesnt open it, or there are nothing. I dont know how to get that pages/master pages visible@@dorico

@@MikaelRatilainen ah yes, sorry. The page templates section is only available in Pro.
How did you get the horizontal rules, above and below Dorico Edition, etc?
I was wondering that, too: he's just created a very thin text box and selected "Show Border"
The box height was 1pt

To add text in the middle it is easier at the moment to create a full-width text frame and then use the 'centered' text option.
Dorico That makes sense. Follow up question: What about centering graphics frames? Thanks!
