Joe Carter’s homerun is one of the most iconic moments ever in baseball history. Some of the best announcing I’ve heard for a walk-off homerun ever in my life, too.

As a Giants fan, I still get chills when I see Travis Ishikawa hitting that walk off to send the Giants to the World Series.
But what made it more meaningful was the story of Travis Ishikawa nearly quitting baseball that season. That walk off will forever be legendary for Giants fans.
Even though it wasn’t a walk off win, I still think one of my favorite postseason HR was José Bautista’s bat flip.

That’s true. 1903-1948 had 0 walk off home runs. That’s 45 World Series without one. Then in the last 75 World Series there been 18, averaging about 1 every 4 years.

Watching clips of old baseball games really makes you wonder how the sport stayed popular and took off despite the horrific video. Who on Earth ever thought shooting baseball games from behind homeplate was a good idea? I get Early on cameras made zooming in clearly impossible but even after they improved and gained color they still continued that way of showing the game. I bet modern umpires would love to have been umpiring at that period of time. No one on watching would have even a remote idea of whether they got the ball or strike call right.
Man Steve Finley botched that Pratt homerun.

It really pisses me off so much seeing fans running out onto the field after wins like they had any business being there. Seriously who did they think they were? Their actions ruined the celebrations of the people that actually deserved to get to celebrate on the field, the players.
