US National Whitewater Center here in Charlotte, NC has some great trails. I have not run them but I have hiked them many times. We have a lot of greenways here in Charlotte. I have not found one yet that I don’t like. I just found your videos and I have thoroughly enjoyed them, great work. I will definitely be watching your journey to the April race and beyond. Keep grinding Chris 💪🏼😅. Thanks for sharing. 😄💩
Thank you very much! Trying to create something that is decent quality, entertaining and a little motivating. I really appreciate the feedback and support! Goggins is definitely a machine and someone I follow for motivation.
It’s done!! I’ve watched all your 26 Weeks vídeos and the only word I can say it is ENVY!! Fantastic vídeo editing, nice places for running , very interesting workouts and an awesome way of improving my english!!! Congratulations!!
Another great instalment. I had a smile on my face from start to finish. Great energy both in and out of training. Thanks Chris. Nice work with the drone too!!
I’m loving these videos Chris. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. I’m working towards my first half marathon in April and I will be running every day for 365 days this year. Your videos are really motivating! Let’s connect on Strava, I followed you the other day. All the best for 2019.
Hello I know these videos were a while ago, just found them great job by the way. I was wondering what hydration bag you are wearing, I'm 210 and all the bags I try are way to small.
I have the large version of this: Ultimate Direction SJ Ultra Vest 3.0 - Large (Red Canyon) OPEN BOX www.amazon.com/dp/B01IEZRVLS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_bRK6DbQE3K552
Hi chris. Love following your journey. Only just started. Hey question for you. You had that fruit before your run and it looked like a big tomato and you took its top off. What is this fruit named?
Adam Haney Thanks Adam. I’m an electric engineer and I’ve always love web design and graphic design. As for the production...I love being creative and video/fitness has allowed me to put those to use. I haven’t had any formal training. Just reading, RUclips and trying to mimic things I watched that I enjoy. Where are you from?
@@CjayeMedia That is so inspiring! I will complete my first IM by the end of 2019. I'm an ex-Navy Nuke and do electrical automation and maintenance at a Steel Mill in Arkansas. Pursuing my Masters in EE next year. It's really awesome to see the life you have built for yourself. I'm making the big leap out of my current job and hopefully into OEM or integrator automation design next year.
Chris...How do you like the Speedgoat 2's? I just bought a pair last week (21 miles 20+ miles in them so far) and I love them!!! My favorite Hoka so far( Currently using the Torrent, Challenger 4, and the Mach). Great work this week!!!
Great Job...I was wondering where is this Trail located? I'm located in West Hills...you should come train down at East Las Virgines Canyon, Upper Las Virgines Canyon, Hummingbird Trail, Chumash Trail, and Las llajas Trail....would love to meet you and get a training run in.
Thanks Tom. This is Chino Hills State Park which is in north Orange County off of the 57 fwy. It has a ton of trails. Looks like West Hills is about 65 miles away. I would be great to get out that way and do some runs. Maybe after the first of the year once we get all of the holidays out of the way.
That downed tree looked familiar, ran by it a couple a weeks ago. I'm an early morning runner as well, hope to see you on the trail sometime CJaye! I'm training for my first 50k in Valencia, so its great watching your videos!
@@MrHowdawg HEY! Glad to see a local found me. I was surprised to see the tree on the trail and even more surprised to hear it's been on the path for a couple of weeks. When is the 50K in Valencia? I typically only get out on the trails on the weekends. Certainly say hello if you see me out there.
Barnhild Wurzbacher Are you wondering about varying pace during a run or the differences in pace between different runs? My long runs...14 and up are run at a pace I can maintain for a very long time. For me that’s between 9-10 min mile depending on the terrain. 8-12 milers I typically run these as recovery but still run them. Little faster than the long runs. Generally around 8:30-9 min mile. Runs under that I try to run harder and then on the track for intervals I have been running around a 7-7:30 mile. I’m not really focusing on speed at this point and don’t want to get hurt. During my long runs I try not to vary my pace much unless it’s because of terrain.
Hey when you do your track work, are you working on speed? In other words are you running your 800s at a sprint pace or at your nine minute per mile pace
Tom Cody I am and I’ve always wanted to do it as well. I bet it would be slow going up. I hear spring and fall are the time to do it. That might have to go on my list for next fall. I’ve gone to the top of San Jacinto Peak from the Idyllwild side. Are you in SoCal?
Hey I was wondering how donating blood affected your training? I normally take a couple of days off after I donate but seemed like you were right back on it. Good luck with your training!
BruteForce I usually try to take 24 hours off but was shy by about 5 hours that day. I actually felt pretty good. I usually won’t run long the day after.
I did many years ago. Since then I do a lot of stretching and rolling on foam roller and ball. I’ve found if I ramp up my mileage to quickly or if I haven’t rode my bike in a while it can get sore. Typically I will lower my seat a couple inches when I start back. Are you rolling it?
Where is your favorite trail to run?

Joe Culligan Thanks Joe. I visit Charlotte/Davidson at least one a year. I enjoy running there.
Awesome videos. Very professionally done. You are "getting after it" as David Goggins would say.

C Miclat thank you! It can sometimes be challenging to fit it all it, but it’s so worth it.
Need more Dads like you...Great Job!!!
Just randomly discovered these videos and watched all six back to back! Great work so far, looking forward to seeing your progress.
Lee Leggett That’s awesome. I post a new weekly video every Tuesday! Thanks so much for the support.
Following your journey man and doing very similar. I am running 62 mile ultra in June in the UK 🇬🇧 after losing over 100lb. Keep the videos coming 😁👍
That is sooooo awesome Jason! Now that is motivating. Congratulations on the weight loss. Which ultra are you doing?

James Cooper thanks James. This was a fun one to put together.
Thanks for sharing Chris, house looks great and the training is way ahead of where i am! Great video, cool use of the drone.
Thanks Mat. Had to get the decorating done before Thanksgiving to keep the family happy!
Great discipline keep up the good work

Doug Rastatter Thanks so much for the support Doug!
Inspiring! Great videos! (Going to have to get that GoPro light you talk about in Episode 5.)

the PRINCIPAL life so far I really like them. Only issue I’m having is sliding forward on the downhills more than I do in my Saucony’s.

Great video again. I was wondering if you run the same pace during your long runs (runs in general) or do you switch it up a little?

I run the intervals around 7:30 right now.
I would love to run the Skyline Trail: Cactus to Clouds near Palm Springs CA...I was wondering are you familiar with it at all?
Tom Cody I am and I’ve always wanted to do it as well. I bet it would be slow going up. I hear spring and fall are the time to do it. That might have to go on my list for next fall. I’ve gone to the top of San Jacinto Peak from the Idyllwild side. Are you in SoCal?

I just ordered that Go pro light. It was super cheap! Thanks so much for showing us that. I’m excited to put it to use
Ever get any IT band pain being a bigger guy?

whats your running pace
On my longer runs...13 miles or more around 9-10 min mile depending on terrain. My recent 5k warmup time was a 7:30. I’m not real fast
Wake Ups definitely ripped off Kellogs Cornflakes
Just looked at your Strava profile. It seems you're a young woman from Italy who doesn't take much exercise. :)
Tony Ward haha. Fixed the link. Looks like it got truncated. Thanks for the heads up

Dude, after my long runs I am shot for the day. Doesn't make the wife very happy.
Haha. I hear ya. I told myself and her that if I commit to doing this then I won’t crash of the couch all day after training.
