I've only been using my mini for about a year now. I'm loving it, but I sort of want a larger iPad too. This is really helping me think about the next iPad.
I have the mini and iPad Pro 12.9 inch and I love it . I use my mini as a cell phone because it’s cellular and larger screen but yet portable and the larger one as a laptop replacement .. can’t wait to upgrade mini when the new one comes out ..
I LOVE my IPad Pro 12.9 too! I run a nutrition business and my personal from it! I also bought my son one for chiropractic school and he never even needed a laptop!! They are amazing!
I love my iPad mini! Just like you I take it everywhere. Because I travel so much, it is the perfect size for me. My stickers load much faster than your pro, so I am not sure why yours is so slow
A few years ago, I started digital planning on a iPad mini. I love stickers and it is very frustrating working on the mini. It is doable, but it is annoying. I upgraded to the iPad Pro 11”; which is much better. But after a few years, I’m still desiring more space! So I will probably get the 12.9’ to really work on my digital content. I will keep the iPad Pro 11” to take on the go. The iPad mini has a sweet spot in my heart, but I haven’t found a reason to buy it again. Great video!
Thank you, this video explained very well how the planners will function on the different screen sizes. I've bought an 11" (waiting for delivery), but was worried about this exact thing. Now I'm glad I got that, I need a tablet that is portable and it seemed to work very comfortably in split screen mode. Excellent video.
Silly question. But when we are 'done' with a planner for the year. Do we just export it as a Goodnotes file and save it to our documents and then delete the planner in Goodnotes? Would that essential "shelve" last years planner until I want to reopen it for some reason? Just trying to save room in my Goodnotes app. If that works...how often do you back up your planners by saving them as a goodnotes file in your documents?
You can try to see if you can save it to your files app on your iPad. Or save it in documents on a Mac if you have one. Not sure if it will work but you can try it. I never keep my previous year planners.
If you save it to documents you wont be able to open it; I believe it need a program like GoodNotes to open/run it! I have saved my planners in GoodNotes since 2017 and I have not opened one lol….I think I’m only going to save the year before until about June and then just delete it!
Thank you for this, I have the pro 12.9 for home and a mini for my purse and I’ve been seriously debating getting the pro 11 for travel instead. This helped seeing what they all look like and hearing your opinion on them all.

Talk about good timing! I literally was picking up my phone thinking it’s Wednesday I wonder….and boom! ❤️🥳
lol yay!!
Thank you for all of the comparisons. A lot of great information.
I am glad you don't talk about the mini as often lol. I have a pro but every time I see you use yours or mention it I keep thinking I want one haha.
lol! I’m hoping they make a new one next year. I feel like it could be upgraded some =)
I can’t decide between the iPad mini for portability, or the iPad Air for more screen real estate. Any tips??
What storage is best? I want to know if the 128gb, the base amount is enough for digital planning and planner pal.
