@@JewelCity1 nope but I’ve been reading through a lot forums (back when forums were a thing), I’ve picked up on some insight that was very informative. You do a good job explaining the differences in feel and powerband of an IS38 vs these hybrids. It's hard for me to get excited about the cost and supporting fuel mods of an IS38 swap...only to be capped at 380-395whp on an E-blend, with a ~6000rpm powerband. I question how many months I would love it before getting bored with the power. A well designed hybrid turbo that lets these EA888s breath out to 7000rpm is a game changer, especially in highway pulls and roll races. 🍻😎👌❤
@@Thatoneguy-my9nt you’ll need the hpfp and lpfp at bare minimum to run full e85, mpi is something you add when you want to use the full potential of e85

Man, I’m inspired… lol. However, for the braking upgrade, many have used Macan 4 piston front calipers with braided lines. My gti doesn’t have the PP brakes, and even though it’s stock, I plan on addressing the brakes first, before getting into power mods. Thanks for your insight on the hybrid setup, as I wondered about the spool time, and your comparison in this video pretty much took me out of the woods on what my build should look like. I’ll have to look back at your other videos to see what other mods you’ve done as far as fueling, cooling, etc.
Hey dio, i have the macan set up on my car. My car is a 2015 model with no pp brakes. Def Macan Is more then perfect for this car. My car is a 6mt pushing 500whp and they break just fine! If you have questions lmk I’ll be more then happy to help.
@@Bjcoolman11 thank you!, I’ve also pondered on using the Brembo 18z’s off a Touareg/Cayenne/Q7, but was informed that the knuckles would have to be replaced, as the aluminum knuckles on the MQB platform don’t line up. @@sonny1redvw I have the vortex xl on 91 and currently on e40. Since I don't really use the power all too much, driving around town it does feel laggier when on 91. It's a great daily-able set up. Boost kicks in a bit smoother so I think if I only did "stop and go" city driving id stick with is20/e85. However If highway driving/ longer-straights is involved then you'd appreciate the extra rpms of power with is38.
It drives like stock turbo so the only thing that really hurts mpg is the ethanol. Combined is about 20-25mpgs. ..Unless you like to keep your foot down
