I think there is genuine pressure internally to pick Harry maguire , because if you drop him is creates more headline and division because when Ole was at the wheel he gave him the captaincy. Basically it’s not easy to drop the captain when you just paid 80m for him.

-2020: Eliminated from the Europa League in the SM against Sevilla.
-2021: Lost the Europa League final against Villarreal (a town of just 50k people)
-2022: Eliminated from the UCL in the last 16 against Atletico Madrid.
09/2011 champions league finals we got slapped around by Barca & we always get knocked out by Madrid when we face them.

Longest trophy drought in 40 years. This goes past the Premier League era. Imo the worst season since saf easily. Sick and tired of getting my hopes up. The players do not care the owners do not care. The Glazers are the worst thing to happen to United in 20 years. This club is getting washed away like it means nothing.

The Glazers aren't the worst thing that happened, Ferguson retiring was the worst thing happening. He was a managerial one-off. The decline and downfall of United was inevitable.
Nothing lasts forever. Time to accept your fate and realize it could be another 10 years before United win a title again, regardless of who owns the club.

When I saw McFred come out of the tunnel, I was 100% sure we would lose. No need to have a back 6 against a counter attacking side. McTominay is unequivocally the worst player in football history. An absolute waste of a player on the pitch. They treat Pogba and Matic like their 80 years old and crippled. Put them on the pitch straightaway to begin the second half, and we win. We should have started Mata for creativity purposes. I'm afraid Ragnick is not a seasoned manager to manage at the highest level.

Simeone had a plan for sancho. He was tagged team every time he got the ball.. So their plan was to take him out the game.
Sancho has become a key player in the attack and I feel like last game was a sign that the current players can't function so well against good teams. The team is very disjointed. Sancho is a player who likes to have more of the ball and suits a possesion based style. A few others suit a counter attack side.

Glaziers are terrible. I’m an American who roots for their nfl team and Tampa, and if it wasn’t for a pure luck getting the greatest player ever in Brady, the bucs under their leadership have been terrible and dysfunctional for years.

The central problem seems to be that Manchester United aren't terribly good at the game of football.
Scholes went in on Rangnick for continuing to pick Maguire - but non of the pundits come out and say its the board picking the team - they hand the team sheet to Rangnick via Fletcher.

Most football clubs practise sunk cost fallacy, successful investors in other fields don't do this but in football when a white elephant has been bought that doesn't perform, the board too often instruct the manager to salvage the player in whatever way possible to then offload the player for a minimal loss.
The board doesn't want to bite the bullet on Maguire, they want to boost his statistics and get him a few good performances before shelving him and dumping him on the transfer market. They assume that the rest of the team will pick up the slack.

It is interesting that Fernandes seems to always ignore Ronaldo when he should be playing him in the final third. There seems to be no chemistry between him and Ronaldo, it seems he wants to be the one dictating the game and trying to be the star man. Even when Ronaldo gives him a pass and expects it back, Fernandes would rather try to create for Alanga or somebody else and that has to stop, it happened a few times during today's game. The team was brilliant against spurs without him and Ronaldo thrived. Ronaldo's game has changed therefore he needs teammates that would understand his every move when loose his markers and play him whenever he needs the ball cause he's always tight marked by the opposing teams. At madrid, they knew he was the danger man therefore they did everything to find him on the pitch every time no matter his geographical position on the pitch. It seems he plays better on this team without Fernandes to be honest, and the entire team seems to play well without Fernandes and Mctominay, Rangnick should have kept his winning team from the Spurs game with the exception of Maguire and Rashford, he too helped to disrupt the momentum when he dropped Pogba and Matic for Fernandes and Mctominay. Another thing is, Alanga isn't tactically discipline, his job should be to run the flanks and put in crosses but instead, he's more eager to score goals and that makes him to leave gabs behind every time, he doesn't know how to cross the ball either. At Madrid, Vasquet, Arsensio, Bale and the rest understood what they needed to do tactically, they weren't invading the spaces of Ronaldo and Benzema, I know they too wanted to score goals but they had to execute what zidane wanted tactically to allow Benzema and Ronaldo to do the job for the team and that is how they succeeded as a team. I don't know what Rangnick is telling these guys, It seems Bruno is doing whatever he wants and at the end he keeps invading the spaces that Ronaldo needs to operate to be efficient, indeed we had a great game against Spurs without him and as soon as he was brought back today it became the same old story for us and it hurts.

Not giving ole a CDM is not ole's fault. The board doesn't backs the manager fully. We've a big hole in middle which the board is reluctant to address. They're waiting for Rice price to be drop down. It's horrible. Ole made Marcus & Martial a 20+ goals season. Stop blaming him for everything.
