Wow, accidently came across this vedio, I was stationed in Tuy Hoa 69-70, 180th ASHC, Big Windy, Chinook unit, right across from the air Force Base. The Donut Dollies used to come by our unit every few months, they we're a welcome sight. Thank you so much ladies, your service was very much appreciated.

One morning in 1972 I heard squelch break on my prc25. I picked up the receiver and heard some Donut Dollies talking at some fire base. I didn’t say anything, just listened to the first round eye women I had heard in months. It was surprising how good it felt. For a moment in time I was back in the world.

They were in our camp one morning, when we came back from a patrol. Being smelly ripe, as we were, they still snuggled close for photographs. Thank you, and Bless You All 👍👍🥰 '69, 11B4P, 173rd Airborne
I always thought that they were models, because they gave us pinup posters 😎😁😎

Unsung heroes these Donut Dollies! On my flight back from Vietnam in a medically outfitted C-141Starlifter, I was greeted each time the plane touched down by these gals. I gotta say, fond memories of their kindness flood my heart.

A friend’s daughter went to Vietnam as a Donut Dolly and was killed by an American soldier her first day in country.

I saw a video on RUclips that had a donut dolly talk about the look and feel of war as soon as the door opened on her arrival. She saw jeeps with soldiers looking for snipers, body bags hauled away and a story about riding a helicopter and seeing a .51 caliber hole next to her feet that wasn't there earlier. Being a non combat personnel, it must have been mind boggling.

In the goodie bag was tobacco, papers and a roller! We traded the tobacco to the locals. We found other fillers for the papers though. Who ever thought of this THANK YOU!
