her voice is one of a kind, i have been fortunate enough to hear her in person several times.
I had the good fortune of hearing her perform in the mid 80's.
I visited the Tanglewood Festival in 1984 specifically to hear her in a concert performance of "Beatrice et Benedict". She was sublime, as always.
You are soooo lucky.
So Lucky you are sir
One of those perfect singers who carries my soul on the notes of the song. I am so grateful.
Frederica tops the list singing this song. Beautiful interpretation and beautiful voice. Thank you.
Reslly, wonderful!!!
Fantastic performance.
See Lucia Popp
Beautifull!!! the voice of this great soprano; Bella also the melody of the score, and everything in general, including the text of this ode to the Moon: ".... Oh Moon, stop for a moment. Tell me, oh, tell me, where is my love ..." .. Thanks for sharing.
Oh! My goodness! Absolute delight, perfect tone and clarity.
Thank you, Madame Von Stade, for this beautiful incarnation of a young, melancholic, Bohemian girl invoking the moon to speak to her far away lover. I do not know of an interpretation that is truer to the poetry of the lyrics and the music of Dvorak.
Bravo forever!
Perfect from the first note of the exquisite harp intro to the very last note of Von Stade's amazing rendition. Exquisite orchestration, imepeccable tempo, just possibly the best conductor on the planet leading one of the world's greatest orchestras place this performance head and shoulders above any that I have heard to date
Jocelyn Rogers excellent performance. I can't believe some stupid comments here.
Jocelyn Rogers You are ravishing !

Masht, hey "I can't believe some stupid comments here." Exactly what I thought when I read your comment.
Amazing... sublime..a pride of the human race ... !
Oh, my...I am breathless. Shimmering beauty. Dvorak's exquisite talent is matched by this performer's graceful interpretation of his finest work. I could listen to this every day and completely forget all my troubles and woes for 7 minutes and 12 seconds, enthralled. Thank you to whoever posted this video. Thank you very much for sharing this dream.

¡Oh, Federica....!
Song to the moon
Shimmering is exactly the word. Her tone is amazing. So exciting to listen to.
An exquisite intimation of the composers intended message to the audience.
Perhaps the best interpretation there is. She sings with her heart. Gorgeous.
Not. Milada Subrtova - best interpretation.
Such perfection, such excellence. Von Stade was legend. Her timbre was unique, as is evidenced in her renditions of Operas by Rossini, and specifically in Le Nozze De Figaro.
I think probably the greatest piece of singing I've heard.
Juspreet Sandhu The first opera I saw was Nozze on the Met tour early 70s. I fell in love with her voice even tho I had no idea what she was singing about. It led to a lifelong passion. Thanks Flicka..
Everything in this video is gorgeous. The singer, the singing, the song, the composition. Such a delight to watch and listen!
