I was saying the same thing some of them pad level was just to high so they are a target they drop those hips, use there hands, and bend the corner they probably would have beat everyone they went against only a few had decent technique for an o lineman

Best advice is those D lineman stand straight up and don’t use their hands. As an Left guard w a scholarship before my injury, that’s the biggest threat, someone who stays low and hammers your hands 🤷♂️

Ask any coach or player who's played or coached this game, the heart, guts and engine of your team is at the line of scrimmage PERIOD. You cannot win if them trenches ain't filled with crazy bloodthirsty dawgs on defense and offense.

you dont know what holding is you only think you know what holding is. you can grab shits and jerseys and pads if they are in front of you
@@wyatt2918 pads or no pads, every single block in the back would’ve been flagged…and that was the vast majority of the plays. I know that a lot of people don’t really understand (or make the distinction) and call it holding, and I understand your point. You can grab inside the shoulders and as long as the arms don’t get extended you’re fine, which is obviously the case since it’s physically impossible to “hold” (as most people are referencing) outside the shoulders, if there’s nothing outside of the shoulders to grab. Your point is correct, but I just wanted to delineate between the “holds” and actually illegal block’s in the back. Have a great day, my guy. 😊

They all need to train in BJJ and Judo . Knowing how and where to grapple and throw/Toss looks like it would be immensely helpful in these scenarios. Knowing when to use brute force and when to use someone else's momentum so you can guide them towards the floor . Knowing which leg is carrying your opponents weight so you can attack it . Etc

How do you guys feel about interior linemen executing spin moves?
There is a time and place for it if the offensive lineman over commit then I say set him up use your hands and when you connect bend that corner but the problem is d lineman are getting beat with hands in there chest and trying to do it no good.
I wouldn't make it a habit, but if you fast and low and know the guard is pulling step towards the tackle thats taking over for that guard and spin back to the center. You should spin into the runningback if they're running a counter. Also if the spits are big like 2 foot or more, you can basically do any move cause you mostly gone get 1 on 1. They do that to spread the d line out

What disappoints me is their doesn't seem to be a lot of burst from the legs to the upper body from the beginning of the movement from DLs. It's not all upper body strength. You move the OL off a first push starting from lower to upper leg strength and use the arms to maneuver and gain the upper hand in placement. Being half Samoan I have to say when I saw em Poly's out there it got my blood going cause it definitely brought back memories playing DL
thats mostly a coaching issue. In my experiance as on olineman the best to go against are the big slow ones who might be pretty strong but cant really use their hands. I always struggle with the very slappy explosive guys.
