Honestly gal try not to stress too much about the housing situation!! Im in my final year at Leeds and although im not living in Leeds this year, from my experience of getting a house in 2nd year a lot of properties aren't advertised until December/January time!! I signed for my second year house at the end of January when I did it and I know lots of other people that signed their houses a lot later than that!! It can feel like a slow process but you'll find the right place in the end!!
Honestly don’t worry about there not being many properties... most won’t come on the market until at least December and check if your uni has a housing portal where they put houses on without being involved in estate agents so you won’t have all that hassle of agency fees and will go straight to the landlord. We managed to get ours all sorted by end of December so aim for then but please don’t start panicking as there will be plenty! X maybe even look for 3 or 4 bedroom and advertise for other students? Hope this helps x
second year is expensive but no where near as much as first year. first year my student halls had bills included and was £150 per week! now i pay under £90 each week in our student house and then bills are usually under £50 per month so it works out soooo much cheaper but it does seem hella expensive looking! When we looked, we visited the same property 3 times because every time wed get there, the estate agent wouldn't be there or the students who were clearly inside would hide from us and pretend they weren't ect. hope it goes well for you! It'll be stressful until like February but as soon as you have one its such a good feeling!! :)

You’re such an amazing youtuber, don’t worry about filming everything as you have to live the life, rather than just make a show of it. It’s your experience, we just get to see parts of it and that’s absolutely fine 😊

I remember the stress of trying to find a house for second year! See if your uni has a housing fair ? Or go to the Student Union and ask for some help/see if they have any suggestions for you! Hope this helps x
you really don't need to look this early for houses in Leeds! A lot of Unipol listings only go up in January, I only signed for my house in March last year!! Don't stress too much I know a few people who've found lovely 2 bedroom flats/houses.
I’m in my third year at uni in Leeds I recommend sugar house properties we went with them and they do a package with bills included! We pay around £446 a month which isn’t too bad about the same price as student accommodation x

Please don’t stress too much about housing, you still have so much time!! I know how you feel though, I’m in second year at uni of Leeds and the housing market starts soooo early here! I genuinely think house hunting was one of the most stressful parts of my entire first year, and it caused so much drama and stress!
I actually didn’t end up signing a house until the start of February and live in a very lovely flat (got a room transformation on my channel if u want to see) so it’s DEFINITELY not true that the best houses go first!! You have so much time!
Coming from a second year at Leeds uni, wait a bit. November is the worst time to look for houses, Unipol don't release their houses until February. Don't rush into it, with houses smaller than 3 rooms its not difficult to find places. You should only be looking for houses at this time if you're looking for a 10 man house. Most places are dire, but relax and don't stress. January and February is the normal time to look for places, also head down to the Unipol office a few mins down from Laidlaw Library and ask them for more advice.

With you being at Leeds I would have a look on unipol it’s an online portal for housing and it basically means the landlords are checked and Unipol can help if anything goes wrong. My boyfriend was at Leeds had so many problems in second year and the first thing the student union asked was if they were on Unipol. Don’t worry about the housing situation too much, typically the search starts pretty late at Leeds unless you’re after a massive house. BILLS! a lot of places offer a bills inclusive offer especially for students as it ends up being easier for the landlord so they can make sure bills are definitely paid so definitely enquire about that option when you’re viewing 😊
try looking on spareroom if you haven't already, they normally have good options, but people tend to post rooms/ properties closer to when they become available. on spareroom you mostly deal with private landlords and I find them much better :) also, don't worry about finding a property right now, I found a property two months before I moved every time I moved, again people don't post them online until a few months in advance. I would say April is the month most people get their property for a July contract start

Hey so I'm a second year at Sheffield Hallam and I do accommodation tours and I just wanna say - there is absolutely no rush to get contracts or anything done for your living situations next year. The whole "get it done quick or places will run out" thing is 99% a myth, it's just for landlords to push students to sign up for things they might not understand at prices higher than they can afford. You have longer than you think you do to sort it out, I would say there's not much need to actually start stressing until March if you've still got nothing planned. Take your time, look at all your options and don't stress. You'll be absolutely fine, you won't end up homeless. If you really struggle, go to your unis accommodation services and ask for help - they will have people in there with more options that you might not think of, they'll probably have legal people in there to make sure you're understanding what you're signing if you're confused. The most important thing is not to rush and to ask for help if you need it. Good luck!

Now is probably too early to be looking most properties on the market now are like 'left overs' for last year just places they can't rent. December and January is the best time to look but even if you don't bother to sort it till literally next September you will find something

my sister wanted a house for two but had no luck so she found two others that wanted a house for two who had a similar lifestyle so they got one for 4. they now don’t actually get on at all but oh well
