    Thanks, Chris for your very honest review. I came upon your post independently from my wife. We have a package which includes all food and alcoholic drinks and it looks as though we will get plenty of exercise.

      Thank Alan. I only ever had the buffet breakfast, so not too sure what the other meals will be like, but I can't wait to hear your thoughts. I think you're really going to enjoy it. The stunning beachfront with all drinks included will be amazing!
      And yes, a bit of walking in-between, lol.

    Thanks for this detailed review! I watched it before going and it made me a little apprehensive about my partner picking this place.
    I'm currently writing this comment sitting by the beach at the restort, enjoying an all inclusive cocktail and wanted to say it's brimming with life and not like your video. All of the organised events are running and both wings are open. Sunbeds wise youre looking at about 5-10% available during early afternoon.
    For anyone reading this, all inclusive is definitely worth it, the restaurants / food is half decent resort food, nothing to write home about, but the masses of cocktails makes you more forgiving. And with there being a mixture of restaurants (e.g. Indian, Japanese, Western, BBQ stand, an eclectic place) it works out decent value if you plan on just lounging staying in the resort as its 7am until 11pm with free daily mini bar top up.
    Unfortunately one of the geese died today though :'(

      Really?! I'm so glad to hear that, thank you for letting me and other viewers know. Almost a year on I guess - from COVID as much as anything - but I might pin your comment to the top if you don't mind so others can read how things have changed.

      Just booked a 5 night stay in early November. Opted for all inclusive. Just want to lounge around and not worry about anything. Sounds like it’ll work out ok.

    Hi Chris, we’re travelling with our parents in November. Place looks like it involves a lot of walking. Do they offer any buggy services for elderly people?

    • @motivatedtravel
      @motivatedtravel Месяц назад

      Yes, it's quite a walk from the beach main pool to the restaurant and - depending on where you are - your room. I did not notice any buggies, or anyone getting lifts around either. But you could double check with the hotel.
      That said, if you can convince them to put you in the Palace, it will minimise your movements. The Palace has its own restaurant for breakfasts and snacks so you don't have to hike all the way back to the main entrance building, with rooms close to the main pool and beach.

    I hope they have improved the food by September. They advertised on Trip A Deal a couple of months ago so hopefully there will be more tourists when we go. We've stayed all over Bali but never Nusa Dua then we're going down market to a ine room homestay in Sanur our favourite place in Bali. A great honest review. Thank you. 😊

      Thank you Heather. I've stayed at Nusa Dua twice now. It's lovely if you want something a bit more luxury and relaxed, as opposed to bustling. You don't feel immersed in the culture as much, but you do feel like you are on holiday.
      The Ayodya location is really great in Nusa Dua, because if the food isn't up to the standard you like, it's a small walk to local eateries. The food at the hotel isn't bad, just wasn't great as you might expect for this kind of place imo.
      I've never been to Sanur. We almost went on that last trip. Next time!

    Hi Chris
    You covered review in decently good detail. But you didn't show the kids pool/slide that is being advertised now.
    What are your thoughts for travel with 2-3 year old kids?

    • @motivatedtravel
      @motivatedtravel 5 месяцев назад +1

      That must be very knew. We were there late 2023 and there was no slide, or mention of a slide, at that time. Glad to hear they have one! Looking at the ads, there was construction going on when we were there in that exact spot, they just didn't say what was going there. It's a good addition!!
      I think with that age group you'll be fine. There is a good kids club and nice pools. It was with the older kids that we struggled, as there were not enough other kids for them to play with, and none of the activities were being run. So they were a bit bored.

    I just came back from here, this resort is very beautiful, if you come here with your wife and children, choose the lowest room, it is very safe, beautiful and easy to access the swimming pool and beach.

    The lake is designed after the water palace near Tirtagangan.
