I had a piece of glass in my hand for years. it was just a little bigger than that one. healed over and everything. Finally I got tired of banging it on things, that really hurt. I took a utility knife and cut down to where I could feel it with the knife and where it was rubbing against my finger bone. tweezered it out from there. In the end I had a hole in my hand that hurt, a scar but so much less pain.
