      Patricia Schwab In this video, we were away for nearly 4 months prospecting. The problem is not how much is allowed(fair share). It's how much we can take in the car. From this area, we have driven at least 10,000 km. to other gold and gem fields along the way before we got home. Cheers, Liz

    That is very helpful for someone who is about to try your passion. We live in the Whitsundays and have found amethyst (small very weathered pieces), washed up on a beach on an island, how do we find out if there is more there. I couldn’t find how to message you. Thank you.

    • @LizKreate
      @LizKreate  4 года назад +1

      Hi Michelle, I've never been to the Whitsundays so it's difficult to suggest anything but if I was in your scenario, I'd probably try to look for the source inland. Creeks and rivers that feed into the ocean sometimes carries gemstones when there's heavy rain. Look for crevices in bedrocks or structures that will hold the gems. They act like breadcrumbs to follow up river into the banks. Hope this helps. Happy hunting. Cheers, Liz

    Hi Kate, I live in Perth and when borders open again I hope to do some crystal and gem hunting around the country and I would love if you would be so kine to consider telling me when this spot was. I have seen you reply to a previous comment asking them to message you and for some reason i can't fine the button on your channel to do so
    I have only just starting looking into good spots in perth region but I don't think there are many prospesting areas in WA at all so interstate hunting seems like the best option

    Australian folks are the toughest people that have ever stood on the earth. Some Texans think we're the toughest breed on the planet. Not close. Just being out looking for crystals, I bet there's some animal that can kill you just by looking at it. I love the crystals. I love the people.

    • @thedeadnigerianprincehaunt5096
      @thedeadnigerianprincehaunt5096 7 лет назад +2

      REBEL , you don't have to be the toughest people on Earth nor the brightest to stay alive in Australia. You just have to be tough enough to walk off the pavement and smart enough to avoid things which advertise they will kill you in no discreet terms.
      After seeing recently how the fine people of Texas handled hurricane Harvey devastating almost their entire State underwater, I saw how their general toughness, ingenuity, and goodwill towards their neighborhoods fared far better than most any other people after a major disaster than I have ever seen in my lifetime.
      I hope that response of the Texan's toughness, in your opinion 6 months ago, has changed a bit compared to now with an Australian's just to walk in the bushes and look for rocks without being bitten by something poisonous. If not, I would wonder of your standards on things like choosing a spouse, beauty in general, cute babies of strangers, family cordiality, compassion and, good sex! Lol
      Aussies are good, salt of the Earth people but, don't sell your Texan people short, you never know how they might surprise you someday. Plus, Texans have crocodiles, alligators, sharks, rays, and all types of poisonous reptiles and sea creatures with marsupials to boot as much as Aussies do too, just a tad difference in species.
      Hope all is working out in your part of the world.

    Hi there,could you help me out,I live in New Plymouth NZ do you know if there is any where at all I could go geode hunting? My daughter son and I love crystals of all types and collected them,thanks for your great videos

    • @LizKreate
      @LizKreate  8 лет назад +1

      Finding gems/geode requires local knowledge. I've never been to NZ and don't know of any areas at all. But if I were to go gem hunting there, the first thing I would do is to do some research. The best starting point is to contact your nearest local lapidary clubs (contact details available online), as they do have regular trips to different gem fields. Had a quick google online and also found a lot of info on gems and their locations. Good luck and wish you all the very best. Happy Hunting. Cheers, Liz

      Hi there are some places in the South Island that I know of, down around Canterbury. At Mount Somers you can find agates and at the nearby Rakaia Gorge there is some Amethyst found. There a few Rock and Mineral Clubs that have great information. I go to the Otago Club, there is one in Wellington, which is a bit far for you probably but if you look up the clubs web sites they have a lot of information on where they have found gems and crystasl etc. Happy Hunting.
