I have been snowboarding very badly for 17 years. I go every winter and stay on the mountain for 2 weeks. Go every day at the tracks. I have gone off course and got burried in the snow, I have lost control and slammed on somebody's family (their fault really), once a very bad snowstorm started and got lost on the way down, made it to bottom 1 hour after they shut the gondolas and had to re-open them just for me (and call the cops too for some reason). That's excluding multiple injuries I have suffered and caused to others. I will keep trying until I 'm good though, because it's fun! Perhaps that's the key, failing should still feel fun... or cherishing the small victories should make one feel elated! :) Only awkward thing is when I tell people I have been snowboarding all my life and then slip and tumble as I get off the lift :) sometimes I have to pretend I 'm new. OH well, writing this made me wanna go snowboard again, wooh!
