I really like how much South Korea wanted to differentiate themselves from the DPRK, not even a single dude in uniform lol
they're students who are learning to perform these kind of traditional acts, no wonder they don't wear army uniform.
That IS their uniform. The honour guards
It's not that the South Korean military wants to be shown different from the North Korean military, South Korean military uniforms are already way different from the North Korean ones. Those are the uniforms for the Republic of Korea Honor Guard-Traditional Division.
It's acutally the OPPOSITE of what you figured about the reason the South Korean military is sending the traditional division to the events like this one.
Since the inarguration of President Moon Jae-in of South Korea, he has put a lot of efforts for co-prosperity of both Koreas. Since the traditional division's customs, uniforms and stuffs all originate from Joseon Dynasty, when two Koreas were all one, it delievers an indirective message not only to North Korea but to the whole world that South Korea is willing to get along well with North Korea, just like those days when they were all one *Joseon*, and hope they would support it.
Military is just another politics, I guess.
At 25:35 the DPRK troupe stand forming the Korean word 승리 meaning Victory! That's the spirit!
Its very unfortunate that the Ukraine War has ended this very interesting Tattoo. This show brought together a lot of military bands often not seen in the West. The demise of the Kremlin Tattoo is a sad loss to the international military music scene.
They are not going to stop.
Wasn't expecting North Korea honestly. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

이번에는 한국 존재감이 조금 부족하네 북한쪽 칭찬글이 많이 보이네 .국악 의장대를 보내지 어디 듣보잡 대학교 동아리를 여기에 보냈냐
이개지혁이 러시아에서 공산권국가 중심으로 진행된 행사이기 때문에 일부러 국군의장대 안 보낸 듯 합니다. 미국눈치ㅋ 천안문 퍼레이드때도 누가 괜히 참석해서 미국이 빡쳤죠ㅋ 아마도 이런저런 이유로 그냥 민간차원에서 참가팀 보낸듯요
돌아가면서 열리는 군악 대회인데 뭔 눈치를 보고 보낸답니까 일본.호주 프랑스는......우리보다 일본이 더 눈치봐야 되는상황 아닌가요
이번 참가국은 러시아, 남북한, 아제르바이잔, 벨라루스, 이집트, 이탈리아, 카자흐스탄, 중국, 노르웨이, 터키, 일본 등 12개국입니다. 프랑스와 호주가 참가했나요? 일본은 최근 러시아와의 북방영토 문제 때문에 군사교류 및 외교관련 친목을 도모하려 노력중입니다. 아울러 트럼프 때문인지는 몰라도 중국이나 러시아와의 관계개선에 상당히 신경을 쓰고 있습니다.
2013년에 공군 군악대가 공연한적이 있습니다
