Great to see a 'Catacomb Classics' getting some - much deserved - recognition for a change! [although this is the 1967 're-pressed' issue]
True. A Cats classic months before "that place" in Station Rd. even opened! :-D
@@drwhatson .......Yup! Once again the post-1978 'Wigan brigade' claim yet another early NS/Cats classic as their own! I don't know whether to laugh or cry Dave.
@@thesoultwins72 tell what would make you cry If you took a trip around clatterbridge ( look it up ) you pompous pair of turds .
Gets me everytime, pure lyrics pure northern soul ktf
Used to take this to all the Youth Clubs back in the day, for a Mr Ian Fenyhough to spin 😎🖒🖒🖒
Great. The most used song title for northern soul. Check out these other same title tracks, but different songs - ( All brilliant). The Casinos / The Seven Souls / The Profiles / Harry Deal & The Galaxies / Four Larks.

@Linda Hayward .......this was a Catacombs classic from 1972
@@thesoultwins72 and The Golden Torch, '72.
you can get a cable for about £80 that allows alot less compression its like sacd but sounds better done from vinyl.combine that with an isolation platform for your record deck.which vastly improves analogue records before the sound reaches the amp & you got the best possible uploads from vinyl on utube.
Yours may be the best comment on this thread, because it reflects great love for great music. I used to hang with disco/post-disco era DJs, and they were a wonderful, perfectionist and slightly deranged bunch who taught me that art is an endlessly changing thing that regardless worldly troubles can sustain you until the day you die.
@@ptownfreddy im a guitarist but thank you for the comment analogue vinyl is my passion.but very glad to see many labels are still making analogue 45,s.

Glynn Evans.....Catacombs classic [1972]
@@thesoultwins72 never made to the catacombs before my time still a fantastic sound
@@glynnevans8284 ......Too bad. Cats was absolutely brilliant.
Yes it was much better sound were played there than at the casino. The D.Js were awesome
@@martinwillbye2423 ......Totally agree! It really saddens me that clubs like the Catacombs, Plaza Oldhill, Pendulum, Up the Junction and Chateau Impney get so little recognition - whilst Wigan [which let's face it was dreadful post 1976-77] is so revered!
It wasn't even the best all-nighter - and some of the sounds they were playing were absolute pants! [Hawaii 5-0 and Joe 90 themes FFS!]
The Cats and the Torch played a much more important role in the development of NS and in NS music. The standard of Cat's DJ's was amazing ['Froggie', Alan S, Blue Max, Soul Sam, Pep etc] And as a result, the quality of music was excellent.
can't share ........
Bigger than christmas at the casino
