    Daniel is such a cool character omg, he's throwing himself in front of a bullet for her! Why isn't she remembering him? 😭

      Maura created the simulation to forget the sorrow and grief for her son's death. The boy is her son.
      Maybe she forget everything by her brother Ciaran, who was taken over the simulation.

    I'm thinking neither the boy nor Maura stopped time here. Somebody watching from the outside merely paused the simulation to let Maura live.

      I believe the Key has abilities in the simulation, like a device that can alter the code or make changes to it

      Lol 😅 . What freezed time is, Maura is the main character. When she feels threatened, simulation will freeze

    This show should really be watched at night or in a dark room. Man, I've never seen a tv show so dim-lighted. Besides that, everything else is 11/10.

    I rarely ever had myself on edge while watching a movie or series these days. But this part at 2:31 when that FREAKING siren started going off I had goosebumps all over the place. I knew something isn’t quite right there at that moment because I’m pretty sure that period (1899) didn’t have alarms that sound like that. Too modern sounded. Despite the interesting details I have noticed, it still never struck me with the idea that this entire ship is all a simulation.

    The boy did not stop time I believe, he just stopped/slowed the simulation.

    I think Maura is the one that paused the simulation. She just doesn't know it.

    So I have watched the whole season but now re-watching this scene I am confused as to how Elliott did this. If he could do this then why couldn't he control/freeze other situations? Isn't it more likely that Maura did it subconsciously somehow?

    • @sprCircuit
      @sprCircuit Год назад +14

      I think it was Maura as well, if you look at the waves coming off at 0:25 it looks like the center is her and not the cabinet where the boy was...

      I think it's an interrupt that keeps the creator from being inconvenienced while developing or overseeing the simulation. Like throwing an exception or hitting a debug breakpoint in a program.

    I've only watched the first few episodes.
    Do they stop just staring at each other without speaking - and does she stop wandering around bits of the ship she shouldn't be in. Does the captain start to actually do some work other than sit in his cabin looking moody and drinking? Do his officers start dressing properly and doing what they are told instead of saying they should wait for headquarters to respond. Really messy scriptwriting guys.
    I might give it another go if I am bored one day.....
    First few episodes are a real snore fest
