Would be cool if they added so that if your saved lists gets to full, you can see where every single one is on the list and on the map. That way you literally don’t need to click on every single one to make sure you delete the right one.
I just tried Google Maps and if they have these features they do a great job hiding them. It honestly hasn’t gotten any new features for at least 10 years, and those features actually worked better then.
But google may does not voice alert for Speed/ Red camera reported ahead, Traffic police reported ahead & pothole reported ahead as well! So, Waze map is more compatible for the drivers than google map. We deserve that, google will add these types of features withing few months. Thanks❤️❤️

Google maps can be difficult. It tells you to head south turn into this street You can't find this street on Google because you are heading in the wrong direction. But it doesn't tell you that you are heading in the wrong direction. When you are in a hurry on foot Obviously if you reach a point from the right direction it should let you know. I only had to use common sense and ignore it
Car Insurance companies will surely love this. The more you can zero in on the minuter about why your claim can't be approved the more the odds are against you the claimer

However, Google still can't solve the problem: show the current speed of the car and navigate to my saved points. For example, I can tell: go home and go to work and Navi understands, but if I save the location of my parent's home with the name "parents", he doesn't understand what I'm saying. Is this how the other 7Billion of you live? I think like the Hoverboard with wheels, someone is trying to claim a name but they do not have the product to match. A.I. is not a certain number of searches in a select amount of time. When this can see too much movement or people moving too fast in a CCTV camera and discern if it's a robbery and report it to the nearest PoliceMan then you may have A.I. You will have A.I. when it can see hoodies and posture at the entrance and have a good idea what's going to happen next. When you phone can prevent you from driving because it's been hanging around with you all night paying for drinks, you have A.I. (and a cure for that becoming BigBrother, you have manual overrides for everything but the phone does call the police to let them know your location and status. In case you are stuck in the woods or a bad neighborhood or place on the road or just plain paranoid this a override is essential).
None of those pictures affect my day-to-day life and I’m actually a truck driver so sorry not one of those options is actually really AI. They’re all programmed to algorithms and so far I’m using Google maps less versus Apple Maps so google fail
This is city dependent. If the city permits the trains to be tracked with GPS or real-time location feeds then Google Maps uses that data. For example I live in Melbourne Australia and it accurately tracks tram and train arrival times and uses that for suggesting best routes
Not one of those functions is what i want to use and the faking how everything looks part with AI is crappier than what's real. I find this cluster fudging it all to add a crap ton of bloat that's in the way. Clean interface. Easier to see map. To be able to not select a destination to do hands free calls / text and see the map even though i am not selecting a place. My phone doesn't hear me correctly even in a quite environment. Gets what i say wrong and refuses to beep to talk and sometimes wake up at all. Almost gets you in a wreck fighting the damn phone because it can't hear sinple commands or questions. So for certain functions to work you have to select a destination and that's bullshit because most of the time i know where i am going but they ripped out driving mode where i could call easier or speak a text. Shit is extremely gimmicky and doesn't work for me 85 percent of the time. Fundamentally broken and a car accident causer. I also tried getting my beep back to know when to speak for over a year. Fixed it once and broke right away with no changes made to the phone. Windows is buggy and android is 100 times more buggy and that's saying something. No big open mic button for calls when Google can't understand your speaking. Pisses me off. My car is old. I don't have that steering wheel button to make and end calls. All this gps means the navigation part of your brain and internal compass doesn't develop leading to brain being underdeveloped in places that causes mental disorder. Same with too much screen time. What happens is the parts of the brain required for attention and focus causes those attention disorders because the parts of your brain is not devoping because that parts not being used. Similar thing happens un violent and abusive families because they tune more stuff out and act out because of the caos and so the brain didn't develop correctly. Trauma shrinks or keeps those parts of the brain from developing. Instead of being focused on everything around you when needed that part of the brain didn't develop as much do to not doing that.
but the problem with Google map and android auto. is Google has NOT status on the car, so preheating of the car is never going to happen. using Google Auto.. also in old days the writing was larger, because the eyes need to hold focus on the road, not read small text on a small phone display.. Thats the BIG fault of Google MAP.
AI is 99% hype and if anything proves this it's Google Assistant. Recently I was using google maps while driving. I wanted to know what time I would arrive at my destination and said "Hey Google, what time will I arrive at my destination" and the response was "I'm sorry, I dont understand". Google Assistant is practically useless to me and very often it cannot set a basic reminder without screwing it up. AI is 99% hype.

Setting that aside though, the exact request you mentioned in your example actually works for me personally all the time. The “I don’t understand” response of a virtual assistant is typically caused by it not being able to decipher what is being said, and usually this is due to excessive background noise, or low volume/mumbled speech. This is often resolved simply by reducing background noise and/or ensuring appropriate loudness and clarity of the spoken request.
