My advice: for newbies to grow financially this year, invest. Saving is good, but investing elevates your finances. Why newbie make huge losses on trade is because investing without proper guidance can lead to mistakes and losses. that will stop you from trading, this has been one of the biggest problem to new traders, I've learned this from my own experience.

Yup. They’re pushing for a Government Bailout. Unbelievable. There’s no way to pay for enough mining to keep the network secure, so they want the Gov’t to do it for them. Ryan, David. These are not “Strategic Assets.” Nobody **needs** to hold any digital asset. You do need uranium, copper, oil, wheat & rice. You don’t need BTC or ETH, or any other. In fact, if Country A buys Asset X, then Country B is completely incentivized to : 1. buy a different Asset 2. see that Country A’s asset declines and fails. My goodness. So, the USA buys BTC. Are you saying that China & Russia now say, “Hmm, let’s see how we could help the USA. Let’s buy the asset they are in, ahead of us. To help pump their bags.” Geezuz Ryan. Politicians fall for this. The USA will NEVER do this. The Federal reserve has no interest in doing this. Drafted bills are cheap. They are drafted all the time and nothing happens with them.
Crypto is the future! Blockchain will replace fiat currency! Either by BTC and Crypto or by governments with CBDCs. The digitization of currency is the evolution of currency, Blockchain is the same as the traditional ledger system, which evolved. As per the MIT Paper (DCI), we know the defence of PoW network is : “The prohibitively high cost of attack.” We need to make it so expensive to attack that it’s absolutely not worth it. Beyond reach. The entire point of mining is to spend money. Miners acquire the two external resources - ASIC’s and Electricity. The attacker needs to acquire these also (get control of ~ 51% of this amount.). How do we prevent that, in a decentralized system ? The Cost of Attack needs to be so prohibitively expensive - relative to the Rewards for Attack - that they won’t try. You need the Security Spend to be as high as absolutely possible. The network needs to incentivize and pay for as much mining activity as humanly possible. The last thing on Earth you’d ever want is cheap ASIC’s or Electricity ! The attacker has access to the same resources as the honest miners. You don’t want to make it **cheaper** for him to attack. Security : It’s not the *presence* of some Mining that provides security. It’s the *amount* of mining activity. The current security spend has been approx $30 Million per day. (See Blockchain , com). But imagine if only $100k a day was spent on mining. It would be trivial to attack. Would someone borrow $100 k, to make $10 Million profit after a successful one day attack ? Absolutely ! BTW the profit potential is when the coin DROPS in price. The attacker Shorts the coin - profit when it goes down.
Summary : If Mining at home for average people becomes doable, or affordable - that’s when you’ll know the Security is so weak - you can guarantee the network will be attacked.

The value of bitcoin, were something like this to occur, is inestimably high, surely in the 10's of millions or more at today's purchasing power, because every country on earth would then feel pressure to acquire a percentage of the supply, and there is not enough to go around.

Same for everything else. People today are paying much more for what the same house or bar of gold cost when it was first produced. My house built in 1961 originally cost around $8,000. I bought it 20 years ago at$130,000. Today it is worth around $240,000. Was i a fool to buy it at $130,000 or will the person who buys it at much higher be the fool? Bitcoin has a max supply of only 21 million. You can always build more houses or mine more gold. Bitcoin is scarce and costs energy to mine.

We need to make it so expensive to attack that it’s absolutely not worth it. Beyond reach.
The entire point of mining is to spend money.
Miners acquire the two external resources - ASIC’s and Electricity. The attacker needs to acquire these also (get control of ~ 51% of this amount.). How do we prevent that, in a decentralized system ? The Cost of Attack needs to be so prohibitively expensive - relative to the Rewards for Attack - that they won’t try.
You need the Security Spend to be as high as absolutely possible.
The network needs to incentivize and pay for as much mining activity as humanly possible.
The last thing on Earth you’d ever want is cheap ASIC’s or Electricity ! The attacker has access to the same resources as the honest miners.
You don’t want to make it **cheaper** for him to attack.
Security : It’s not the *presence* of some Mining that provides security.
It’s the *amount* of mining activity.
The current security spend has been approx $30 Million per day. (See Blockchain , com). But imagine if only $100k a day was spent on mining. It would be trivial to attack.
Would someone borrow $100 k, to make $10 Million profit after a successful one day attack ? Absolutely !

"Currency backed by bitcoin" completely misses the point of bitcoin: that money shouldn't be something that relies on ANY third party backing. There will never be a bitcoin standard for the same reason that the gold standard either failed or was a fraud from the beginning. You can't trust "government", to back your currency, or for anything for that matter, and if you think you can you're a moron. The very idea is ludicrous that the folks at the receiving end of money printer go brrr would ever go back to any hard money standard. They will run it till it breaks, count on it. Bitcoin is plan B. Not a fix for plan A. Bitcoin (and crypto and defi more broadly) are developing as a REPLACEMENT system for fiat (and by extension government as we know it) and will never "fix" it.
The government is a criminal racket. It's not "us", "we", or "ours". Please. The "national debt" is as fraudulent as the fiat monetary system itself. Crypto is here to end it all as far as I'm concerned. I thought she basically dodged or didn't make sense when pressed where the money will come from to acquire $60B of bitcoin. If the answer was that the government should sell gold certificates at going market rate, then the question should be addressed what happens to the market, especially considering the signal it send to the rest of the world. Would the certificate price maintain a peg with physical? What kind of slippage would there be on the "book value" of those certificates vs if you actually tried to realize that value? The value of bitcoin, were something like this to occur, is inestimably high, surely in the 10's of millions or more at today's purchasing power, because every country on earth would then feel pressure to acquire a percentage of the supply, and there is not enough to go around.
It's okay to have a view but calling people morons because their view doesn't align with you is just not needed. You're not doing anything positive here except throwing your bias around like you have all the answers. Just like the people who created this mess. Find some humility and promote your message with some of it. Personally I find a number of flaws in your arguments but I am not calling you names.
