Ms. Amber, after watching your video, I learned to teach my daughter again because she hates math. Her report card for math from D is now B. She has an A in all subjects, but she is just struggling in math. Don't get tired of making videos because they help many people. Thank you so much. You are a Great teacher.

Hi there! I'm currently on a math journey and wanted to share my story with anyone facing similar challenges. I've consistently found myself slightly below average in math, often falling short by 5-10 points on placement tests. Despite this, I'm determined to overcome these hurdles. Recently, I attempted the TSIA 2 in November, but my math section was 10 points below the passing grade. Next week, I'm giving it another shot, and if successful, I'll pursue another placement test to qualify for Calculus I. Thanks for making math more accessible!❤

Update: I bit off more than I could chew lol
I was starting a new technical job + studying and I didn’t pass the TSIA by 3pts 😬
But I learned my lesson and decided to take the longer road by taking the development courses. It’s been really fun though as it’s given me the space to enjoy math instead of cramming for a grade.

Thank you … I found your videos like three days ago. I have to take the Accuplacer next week so I can take General Biology for my RN program. The class starts 01/17/2024 so I’m brushing up on your videos. I binged watched all your videos that you have on the accuplacer and did all the problems as you went along.
On your other videos you said you wanted to make this your full time job. It’s just a suggestion but you could build your following if you expand the type content you make. Keep making accuplacer videos and TSI videos. You can also make videos for the TEAS exam for the math section .
There are so many pre-nursing students that need to take the TEAS exam to get into their nursing program and the way you explain things so slowly but so concise would be so helpful. You go slow but it helps because it clicks in the person brain better. Thank you.
Secondly, you could also make videos doing dosage calculations problems there are a lot of nursing students that search online looking for help with medication math. A lot of nursing programs if you don’t pass the math for medications you have to drop the class. A lot of programs you can only get like 2 questions wrong and you fail.
Both of those areas I could see you being much needed.
Lastly, as a suggest if you ever had the time and things picked up for you …you could offer tutoring and charge students by the hour. You could do tutoring as a group and if a student wanted private tutoring with you they would have to pay extra. The student brings the questions that they are struggling with and go over it with you. It could be 30 minute sessions.
The only person on RUclips doing the things I suggested is Brandon Craft . He does TEAS math and offers tutoring. I went to sechedule a private tutoring session with him and ALL his slots was taken for the entire month.
So he’s making money!!!!

Thank you thank you! I greatly appreciate you helping and making so many videos. My high school math teacher just wanted to herd us all through like cattle, never taking the time to help anyone with questions and it was obvious he didn’t want to be there or cared about what he was teaching. I caught him and another teacher saying I was dumb out in the hallways in conversation. Half the class would fail most tests, but he would just move on to the next subject, which put me further and further behind. Now, a decade later, I have to take a placement test for college and I am freaking out because I realize not much stuck in my memory. Come to think of it my 7th and 8th grade math teacher was not much better, would never leave her desk, and would belittle students in front of everybody. I have a deep set mind to succeed, though and I love learning. I’ve watched 5 videos so far and I’m soaking it up like a sponge. Crazy because all this time I thought I was stupid, but am starting to think that is really not the case, just uncaring teachers made me hate math!

Im watching this video because I have to take the TSIA (Texas success initiative assessment) next week so i can start going back to college and see what prerequisites i need to take before i can start classes for my degree. When i finished high school i was in calculus. 13yrs later i cant seem to remember anything from algebra and up.
