With Jerry yelling "shit!" at the end, it must be some kind of outtake from the first album, a "clean" mix,i.e. no effects on the vocals and instruments. Never heard it before, thanks!!!
I think this was one of their first recording sessions if not their first. The self-titled recordings came a bit after. Lots of gems from these sessions. Check out “early morning rain.” Seems like a pretty heavy inspiration for this tune.
They also must have decided it would be better to play the "turnaround" straight, that is to say without that strange stuttering way they are playing it in it's "jelling" stage!!
