    I've worked in this field for a little over 20 years. I've spend these years working for one company. Its amazing how much you learn and watching them grow. Plenty of patience and consistency. Such a rewarding job.

    To things the right way in a classroom you would need 3-4 teachers

      Facts. 4 babies to 1 teacher is insanity for everyone.

      We definitely agree you need to stay in ratio and have multiple teachers! This video is a snapshot of an infant's day at a child care center. In Rhode Island, the ratio is 4 infants to 1 teachers, with a maximum of 8 infants per classroom. So the classroom shown would have at least 2 teachers. We couldn't show everything or you'd be here for hours! :)

      Many of our centers do have multiple infant classrooms for different ages, but as Rhode Island regulations are 6 weeks - 18 months in an infant classroom, we chose to focus on best practices that hopefully are useful to everyone! :)

      Many parents have to return to work and Rhode Island regulations permit infants at 6 weeks to attend child care. Every family's needs are different, we are here to support the families that need our services. :)

    There's one thing that I would like to say about the video that you guys made.
    At 05:32, NEVER SHOULD YOU EVER PLACE THE CHILD BY A WOODEN CRIB. The Crib could easily fall over and the child could easily suffer from SIDS which means Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
    But I like this video though. Thank you.

    • @DrDayCareRI
      @DrDayCareRI  Год назад +1

      Thanks for sharing your feedback! Our state regulations require we use the cribs you see in the video. Glad you enjoyed the video, hope it was helpful.

      He sounds like he's on his way to develop borderline personality disorder. Our mothers are our first live; it's our first intimate relationship, so when a baby who has been separated from his mom gets rejected by a female he has romantic feelings for, those abandonment wounds get re-opened. The attachment trauma of being repeatedly abandoned, not knowing if you'll ever see the one person who is capable of breastfeeding makes your subconscious mind, developed through many epochs of evolution, think you won't survive. You will succumb to starvation and thirst. Other lactating moms have their own babies to feed. Daycare creates insecure attachment styles, and people with BPD and NPD have insecure attachment styles. Read any book by psychologist Faye Snyder. Or listen to her interviews. Even the damn pet store knows not to separate the kittens and puppies to early from their moms, because they don't turn out right temperamentally. There are books about the negative psychological effects of daycare such as "Your Baby In Daycare: Are You Out of Your Mind?!" by Seyla Vee. "The Daycare Decision" is another book. Psychologists have spoken out against daycare, such as Ronald Goldman, Judy Rosenberg, Christina Papadopolous, etc. Books like "The Continuum Concept" and "Our Babies, Our Selves" are other good books that advocate for attachment parenting. The Wikipedia page on babywearing says that babies should be worn permanently on the mom's body for approximately the first 9 months (or whenever the child decides they want to explore the world outside their mom). Skin-on-skin contact on the mom's chest, so the baby can learn facial expressions and match the lip shape of their mom to the sounds and tone/emotion of words. Eye contact and mirroring/attunement is important for babies yo have with their mom. Rocking is important, too. It's rare to find violent person who was rocked as a child, according to Dr. Faye.

      State regulations prohibit blankets in cribs, to reduce the risk of SIDS and accidental suffocation.

      The classrooms are usually set in good room temperature not too cold not too hot. Also, the babies can be put in sleep sacks which provide comfort to them. Sleep sacks should be provided by parents.

    I wish daycares listened to the sleeping environment directions. So many let babies sleep in the bouncers and car seats.
    Also 04:20 is not a tight fitting sheet even though they just went over that o.o

      My baby took to thumb naturally and is the reason he slept through the night early. As he grows, he uses it less. He used the pacifier maybe a month

    • @moondog7694
      @moondog7694 Год назад

      @@tootynuggets Maybe he should be sucking on your bare chest instead, and uses his thumb as a poor substitute. Moms should sleep topless with their babies. The books by dentist Dr. Felix Liao say that thumbsucking can contribute to crooked teeth. Breastfeeding helps to develop straight teeth via jaw usage.

    • @moondog7694

      @@theresafigueroa233 As psychologist Faye Snyder said in her interview with Stefan, and I paraphrase: "I don't care if it's Mother Theresa taking care of your baby; it's not you". Dr. Ronald Goldman wrote in his 14-page article that the bond between mom and baby is primary and cannot be duplicated. A baby can't be without their mom for more than like an hour without having permanent personality changes develop (BPD). She has an abandonment schedule in her books, so that if you must leave your baby, you can make sure not to exceed the maximum amount of time away.
