My brother battled with deppression, drugs, anxiety and dellusional behavior for years. Sent this song to me littlw before blowing his head off and now listemed this again for a long time and i understamd so much more.. I had same problems but got family and kids that gave me strentgh to understand that i got to wanna heal first for myself, after that for love ones... He died at age 26, remember u are never alone, and i dont mean anything religional. We all have energies and knowledge from far beyond understanding that makes us one big united unity over all bad. Life can be amazing but after all kind of shit it just takes that u have to understand that u need to do uncomfortable things to make pass all the negativity in your life. And understand that ur pass cant make ur present. I mean whatever u have been trough just leave it there and focus on future because no matter how much or long u allow ur past make ur present reality. There is no change to let you pretend be positive in future if u let ur past descripe who you are. Tell yourseld NOW how u wanna feel and live. And make your coming pass be positive and learn new way to live your life happily! Peace, much love! ❤️🙏

So basically this is about a boy and his father meeting Halsey and her mother and they get to know each other, and the boy has a crush on Halsey, which then we see the two parents getting along and the mother falling for the father. We see Halsey with photographs looking at them, showing her friends in school and hugging them and we see her lip sync “HES SOOO CUTE” to her friends.
Then (spoiler time) the boy comes up to her locker but she’s trying to hurry and get away from him, and then all her pictures drop and she was trying to quickly pick them up but he helped, when he looked at one he shook his head and it was a picture of his father (explains why she says “everything is gray, his *hair*, his smoke his dreams”) and he looks angry and walks away whilst Halsey looks scared. Then we see her in clips taking photos of the dad secretly and then we go backwards and rewind the video to the clip at the dinner table
The dinner table scene was before the boy found this out, she was staring at the dad along the table and then he pointed out food on her chin to which she looked down and wiped it off embarrassed and then he winked at her.
