I'm probably the only person who really dislikes the Boogie episodes -- not because I am a fan of Boogie at all, but because I find him so despicable. Some people are so contemptible that I never want to see/hear anything from them or about them.
You're not, I've skipped the last 2-3 Boogie highlights. His whole crew are scum & I can't stand listening to his bs, with all due respect to the lads I won't watch anymore efaps covering him
You’re not the only one. Maybe if it had been a short bit, a quick strafing run, it wouldn’t have been so bad, but it was too much. There’s only so long you can listen to a piece of crap and a group of people calling him a piece of crap.
I’m so new to EFAP I didn’t know there was a voting process by which to register my feedback. This show is incredibly odd to newbies but it’s a blast. Learning the lore and getting to know the characters is part of the fun.
If you're interested in their coverage of movies, like their breakdowns, I suggest glass onion as a first It's shorter than their other breakdowns, pretty funny, and the things that happen in the movie are genuinely insane to hear
That’s one thing I think they could do better. Probably the main reason they have so few “1st year” votes on the anniversary is because not enough newbies are listening to the anniversary when they announce the survey, and a lot of them aren’t anticipating it
@@brandonm1708 if it’s part of the anniversary show I could see why it’s so heavily weighted towards longtime viewers. The 24+ hour stream is daunting, especially for viewers who feel like crushing their first 8 hour session is a minor Everest. If Mauler did a mini trailer for the feedback poll I think it would get a lot of newer viewers engaged. Something short in the 8-14 minute range lol.
Best part of the poll was getting to the "best rat" section and realizing "wait, I've barely watched/played anything from current year" and had to settle for Palworld and the FNAF Movie after picking GMO (even then, I only watched part of it while my brother was watching the whole thing). Netflix suddenly had a bunch of old Trek show up, okay? I'm still trying to get through all of that. Worst part is the meme section lacking "THE POWER OF MANYYYYY".
Nick is my favorite guest on EFAP. I think he's got great comedic timing. When they talk about the rubber ducks, then Nick says "Dude imagine the ducks she could inherit "
I am definitely part of the very small minority of the EFAP fanbase that genuinely enjoys it best when they don't do episodes about Disney sludge whether that be marvel or star wars, I'm sure the coverage is on point, its just I care about these properties soo little at this point that i cant even be bothered to watch them shit on it. The boogie coverage was very entertaining but I wouldn't say it was good enough for me to name year 6 as the best year so far just on that. Year 4 and 5 are tied favourites for me year wise, but last episodes of Year 2 were also legendary.
When I heard that most voted zero for how many times people went to the cinema since last August, my jaw dropped. Then I heard the movies that were in theaters were being consumed by people watching EFAP (the same applies to shows and video games) and I totally understood. If there's any definitive proof that audiences are sick of modern media, there it is. We'd rather watch people tearing newer media a new asshole than spend money and/or time to watch it ourselves. At least we get occasional recommendations for media every now and again. I honestly want more episodes and highlights celebrating the good stuff so we have a nice split between the good, bad, and mid, even if that means covering older material. Seeing so much sludge get churned out now doesn't bode well for me, even if I enjoy seeing shitty stuff fail. Brings out the darkest part of me, and I don't like it. This is, however, not my podcast, and we live in an especially terrible time for entertainment media, so the fact that most of the highlights and episodes are about the worst stuff is not a bad thing. After all, how best can we "reflect the world we live in today" if we don't address how fucking awful it is. Here's to better days and a new creative renaissance of good media to stave off the slimy tsunami.
Not EFAP related but Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes was my most disappointing movie of this year. Not because I thought it was bad, but because I was expecting way more.
Boogie episodes were very entertaining but i wouldn't say they are the best of year 6. Ultimate showdown and the nvr knows best episodes were pretty legendary. Also they finally did a SOMA epsiode.
I'll be honest- I found the first one or two Boogie episodes a tolerable distraction from the point of EFAP (media), but after the first few they got really old.
Shogun is my favorite book. I read it in fifth grade and loved it ever since, I re-read it all the time. Tai-Pan and Noble House are also incredible, but nothing is Shogun. The show that was made was a travesty and ruins everything that the book built up to and kills the greatest love story of all time and one of the greatest payoffs all for nonsense. Naga, Toranaga's Son? Yeah, he lives through the whole book. Why did they go off plot? Why did they change timelines? Why remove characters and the importance of the gun regiment? The show was dog-water. And trust me, I gave it every chance I could. Episode one I forgave the mis-cues, episode 2 I shrugged and enjoyed, but each one got worse and worse.
I feel really bad saying this, because I love Efap, I love LOTR, and the amount of effort that went into making those videos was through the roof, but I also found them really hard to watch because of the way they kept cutting back and forth. I would much rather have watched the original unedited discussion.

I'm in the same boat.
"Let him stay there. Let him rot!" - as Gimli said about Frodo in RotK ;)
See, I hate him too but the hatred is so righteous that I love to hate him. Hatred of booger is good and good people hate boog.

Understandable. I personally got a fascinated kick out of the Boogie coverage but I wouldn't DARE pick them as the best episodes of Year 6.

Democracy is a strong gravy made of strange grapes.
The only thing that brings me joy in life being top meme is the only thing that brings me joy in life.
At this point they should just rename the podcast to EFAB, Every Frame A Boogie.
Every Frame A Tipple.
Or, if you wanna be more clever: Every Frame a Pound.
@@charlesruteal9062definitely tipples, EFAT is too good to pass up lol
Everlasting Feature Length Analysis of Boogie, EFLAB

Good morning, have fun docking with EFAP!

To a man who values consistency as much as MauLer, being told that your quality level is about the same as before is pure music to his ears 😂
