People can say what they want about Metallica, but when music spans generations and genres and still gives you goosebumps it just shows the calibre of their songwriting. Legends.

The greatest part about this is that Rob is playing an Aria Pro II. Whether its Cliff's, which it very well could be, or one other the CB signature basses, it's still a fitting tribute.
I'd say it's a sig model not owned by Cliff. Ain't no way the guys would allow anyone touching or playing Cliff's bass other than Cliff. Still pretty ccol tho
@@paradigmshiftz7 That not true though, Jason used some of cliffs basses on some songs on the 5.98ep and and justice also the Morley wah Jason would always use was cliffs
Ride the lightning is my first metallica album i heard in 1985, its still my favorite ever. This song has always been my favorite of their instumentals. So many rainy days, I'd put this on just for the effect. Goose bumps hearing it after all these years with the symphony. No way in 1985 when metallica was still underground could i imagine one day they'd be playing this with a symphony!
This is what would have happened had Mozart met metallica, Mozart to metallica..."hey wanna grab a beer?" James "sure let's jam after" .......and now we have this
Thank God for you. Someone in the very front to record and upload on RUclips. You are a legend. God bless you. Cant wait to see this at my local theater. From Columbus Ohio🤘🏼
Camera movement is making me a little dizzy, but you had some pretty damn good seats fella. Really beautiful song to collaborate with an orchestra. Perfect. Love it.
Most of what I've heard so far is mr. Kamen's arrangements. Great to hear his legacy along with the new ideas from the current arranger. Goes to show. It's mostly Kamen's gig. As was the first S and M.
despues de la pandemia si hacen esto en mi pais la argentina va a ser patrimonio nacional, te amo metallica, y tambien amamos la sinfonica de san francisco, esto en mi pais puede llegar a otros niveles, el intro ya seria una locura haha
Kinda sounds like they slowed down the beginning a lil more...I love it, it gave me an Image of an antique getting undusted to look new again or an old horse getting his stride back...
the thing is while you are there you didnt notice that the rail ia missing and there was nothing between the band/orchestra and 18k fans. i didnt realize it til hours later when i was back at my hotel room, i was like wait a moment, there was no rail 🤔 crazy move for sure but given the fact this was such a high profile show, no one was gonna be dumb enough to risk getting kicked out of the show. overall a 10/10 experience on both nights
Very awesome orchestral production of Metallica's musical journey from all around the world to their hometown of San Francisco..Totally love Metallica's very thought provoking music catalog that heightens the 7 senses to new stratospheric peaks ! Oh my God Kirk Hammett is really shredding those guitars like the truly consummate pro that he is! This band is totally electrifying! Metallica rules! Those inglorious bastard fans from those other crappy pop bands are annoying dirty savages! Metallica rules!

Lars is on point in this.... But I still don't understand why not use a ride cymbal it would sound so much better... But his playing is fire now!
He doesn't have one... Don't ask why
He has said he doesn’t like the sound. Too high pitched.
