GRETARGET
Sorry about the people who are mad that they can't understand you. Too bad for them. I can understand you and u did a great job.
Coming from an institution where most of my proff. are Indian, I LOVED this video so much
I agree with the comment below that question 10 is wrong.
2999(.9)(1.07) = 2888.037, which is none of the answers above.
I get the same answer as you..
The 7% tax is imposed on the discounted amount. It's not directly applicable to the given amount.
@@varunlale6438 Correct! But then the discounted amount 2699.1(1.07) = 2888.037, which is definitely none the answers! So W R is right.
Thank you thought I was going insane
@@varunlale6438 you are a fool then try this
2699.1(1.07)
I like how you say, "Now, we all know that..." Well not all!But this tutorial is very helpful.
check the last question i think the last option f could be negative as well
i think so because we don't know whether x is an integer or not. What if x is 1\2? Then the answer would be negative.
Yeah it's wrong
Yes
Yes if x is less than 1 and greater than 0
yes, if x is 1 than you get 0 for the answer, which isn't positive
Q.N. 20 choice F could be negative if the value of x is taken between 0-1
@29:30 if xis a fraction then it becomes negative...1/10^2 - 1/(1/10)^6 = 1/100 - 10^6
Absolutely brother, option F of Q.N. 20 will be negative
Studying for GRE Quant made me want to cry until this video. Feeling more confident in my math abilities after this. Thank you! You're wonderful.
When are going to take GRE
relatable
Great video sir,but i found a mistake in 20th question( option F)if we consider a number between 0 and 1x^-6 is greater than x^2,so entire variable is negative.
For example let us consider x as 0.5~1/2
x^-6 =64 x^2 =4
4 - 64 is negative...
If any one agree with me plz reply
Yes, I thought the same thing. I believe option F is wrong.
People are saying the test is harder; I got a 340 and I would say it is only maybe slightly harder plus one or 2 much harder questions. I talk a bit more about it on my channel.
your channel sucks bro
These type of easy questions will not come in GRE examination.nowadays the exam is much tougher and tricky.🙄🙄😌
really
Great and very simplified. Thank you so much. Although, number 16 and 20 looked like magic to me. I wish I could understand it better.
For question 8, no need to do all that calculation. Just put the given values of x from options a, b, c, d in the given equation and u will get the answer easily. for example,
x2 - 7x = 30
Square of zero is always zero, so we skip option a
now option b is 10, so
(10)2 - 7(10) = 30
100 - 70 = 30
for option c
(-10)2 - 7(-10) = 30
100 + 70 = 170 which is greater than 30
so our answer is option B
Yes I did this same method... The method given by him is too annoying
Sorry your number 10 answer is not given in the options. The answer is actually 2,999×(1-0.1)×(1+0.07) = 2,888.037. Which is approximately 2888.04
I question 11 why is AC half of CE if BC is half of CD? Plzz reply the question
Same
Similar triangles
for Question no.8 and 9 , work with option choice. we can get the answer with in 10 sec, without doing calculation.
Thank you so much!! I found this helpful for my GRE quant preparations...
Have you written the exam yet?
Do we get any rough paper to solve these or have to solve in our mind ?
superb explanation
Thanks a lot for this kind of video. Its really helpful to me. But I think here the number 10 will have the correct answer 2888.04 not 2880.04, and in the number 20, the option (F) is not correct because if you take X=1/2 or any number between 0 and 1 as X is any number not equal to zero, option (F) is not satisfied. Please clear me about this
I also believe that #10 and #20 are incorrect and I have the same reasoning.
lets say in 10 question, it might be a typo so ok. but in question 20 hahhahah in no way F is satisfied for values between 0 to 1
Discount is applied after taxed amount...but in the video it's done in opposite manner
I realise how many goof ups I made after watching this video, the way solutions are presented by the person is remarkable. Thanks for sharing such content.
Are you in US
@@Priyankanip Yes I am
question number 20 (F) gives a negative for 0
For question 20, if we substitute that value of x as 1 in the last option, we get 0. Since zero is nether positive, nor negative, shouldn't the option be incorrect?
Agreed!
Thank you, you did an amazing job!!!! Just the question 10 is wrong and there isn't the answer in the options too. The answer is 2999*(1+0.07)*(1-0.10) = 2888.04 $. Best regards!!!!
Your order of multiplication is wrong
Order shouldn't matter
hey in the 10th question , i'm getting 2888..037 after mutliplying by 1.07. it should be e by this logic. Correct me if i'm wrong
Is it for taking admission in foreign universities for masters???
On last answer, F is false. If x is really small so is x^2, but then 1/x^6 is really big and x^2 - 1/x^6 is negative
Is Gre quant is of same difficulty as these 20 questions??
I think the last question is wrong since you can try the value 0.1 for X and it is negative. However, it helps a lot. Thanks.
Yeah, I concur. If you take a fraction of 1/2 for x, then x^2 becomes 1/4.
1/(1/2)^6= 1/(1/64) = 1 * (64/1) = 1 * 64 = 64.
so we end up with 1/4 - 64, which is a negative number
right. If X
the level of aptitude in gre is same as above or it can be slightly higher ??
These are very easy. Please solve tricky ones.
Good
brother, can I use exercise book & pen for rough
this is very good tutorial, awesome !!!!! I have a doubt what if we plug 0.1 at the place of x in question no. 20, i think last option is incorrect.
question number 20 (F) gives a negative for 0
For the last question if X is a decimal 0.1 wouldn't it be negative? It only says X != 0.
for question no.12, go with logic. X + Y is a even number, so Z also even number. X + Y + Z = 2 ( X + Y ) < 22. X + Y is multiple of 2 and again we are multiplying with 2. finally answers are multiple of 4 less than 20 and greater than or equal to 12.
Quite hard to understand without explanation. Last time I did maths was 5 years ago 😅
Found these and love them! Thanks!

Question 20th f is false, because if x between (0-1) the answer will be negative
What is the difficulty level of questions? Below 155 ??
Very helpful im feeling easy
Didn't understand no 19,isn't there like a formula or an easier way to learn it
The level of paper is same or tougher than this??
Thank you for the video, I appreciate your time and feat
I have a tiny remark in the last question no. 20th at the last option (f) with the term x^2- x^-6 which it shouldn't always be positive . If you take any fraction you will get a negative answer. Therefore the last option should be not true
thanks its very helping

Q3
I thought we re to put the value of x as 5. Why will quantity B be positive?
We can’t put 5 because it’s said that x is bigger than 5 but we can put 5.1-5.9,6,7,8,9,… so in all scenarios the output is going to be positive

I loved the video but I really think there is something wrong: 2699.1 + 188.937 =2888.037 and also 2699.1 * 1.07= 2888.037.
