I heard about this before it was released and just the plot line resonated with me without any mention of the actual subject matter , but then getting the actual book really rocked me (I had only just lost my father to a horrible battle with cancer)The movie did a good job but it didn’t achieve the heights the graphic novel did (in my opinion anyway), I’ll always value my first reading of this story as a life changing moment, it makes me happy that you’re exploring its merits today 🔥💯
