To those who never fished on Georgian Bay, the water is so crystal clear, you can see 30 feet and watch the fish hit your bait. It really is a beautiful place to fish. However, it is big water and you need to stay up to date on all weather conditions before, and while on the water. It can be calm and go to high waves in a very short time, especially if you are in big open water.

Just a suggestion guys. This time of year post ice fishing videos. Post this video in the spring when pike is about to open. Love the show but there are many key things you guys are doing that is affecting your viewership.

On the out of season species deal, I think they need to draw a line on photos, simply because people take too long getting the trophy shots from many angles. I'm old enough to feel like an out of season fish just doesn't count anyway, so, the pics don't really matter. Ironically, you only get caught if you post the pic. And you only post the pic of you need the rest of social media to see. (Sort of what my account name refers to hahaha)
As for the smallies and pike sharing areas in the spring, did you guys notice any sort of temperature difference that would give a hint as to where you're more likely to find one or the other? Last spring I noticed pre-spawn smallies were in slightly colder areas than the pike we found. Bugs hatching were the giveaway, and we started to realize that pike were in water above 40F and smallies were in cooler water. Being immediately after iceout everything was still pretty frigid

Def wish smallies were easier to fish. I hate how i cant avoid them. I fish the grand river as i live on it. An its hard to avoid
