When Elijah is forced to watch the woman he loves die, Antoinette, he asks klaus "Is this revenge, force me to watch her just to show me how it feels?" Even in his compromised state Elijah knows that he didnt just kill the mother of klaus' daughter, he killed the women klaus had loved. The women who had understood him even when he was terrible and never gave up on him even when he hurt her, physically and emotionally. Yes. Klaus loved caroline but just because caroline realized he wasn't the person she thought he was doesnt mean she loved him. Hayley loved klaus but in beginning thought Elijah was what was best for her and her daughter. And married jackson because it was what was best for hope. But over time klaus grew up and hayley realized he had finally become the man she had always saw in him and was ready to love him. Unfortunately they both sacrificed they're loving each other to protect hope.
As we see with hayley and Elijah, hayley and jackson, klaus and cami, klaus and caroline you can love someone and still not be meant to with someone forever.

Maybe like time in reverse and how if only they could start again they would be able to be together. If not I completely understand but I love you and your edits so I thought I'd give it a shot.
Everything you just said was so right and Julie is so wrong for making them not end up together they both deserved eachother bc Hayley and hope are the only ones who changed klaus not cami and Caroline they just gave him advice but he really changed for Hayley and hope, Hayley was the only person who understand him when others didn’t

The whole "you did love her" scene when they are getting his memories back klaus says to Elijah never sat well with me. He says Elijah loved her not because of some family obsession which didnt make sense because Elijah was never the one wanting the unconditional love of family that hayley would give him he knew he had it. Sure he did want love but he wasnt obsessed with family other than getting klaus to realize he had one and hope would be a legacy. Klaus is talking about himself. He wanted love and someone to understand him. He wanted a family to choose him always (ex: why he daggered literally everyone) like hayley did. He loved hayley, he probably thought it was just because of hope till that moment when he realized he truly loved and cared for her the whole time and wanted to be with her with or without (obviously with) hope. He loved her.
The part where it went black and all the parallels just wow... I’m stunned

This is so beautiful! I really love the whole video and I just watched your other video with Saturn about them as well and it was so beautiful, too, but the reason I'm commenting on this one is, that it really got me, when you showed that flashback of Klaus teasing Hayley about the letter, she wrote, and then right after the scene, where he read her letter, and how amazing it is. I mean, I know, Hayley wrote that letter to Hope, but out of all those "suitors" as Klaus called them, Hayley wrote the most letters to him. And it is so touching, and I love the way you put these 2 scenes after each other, I would've never think of that detail, so you're a genius, really. I really love tho, the whole video. It is so obvious, that he loved her, and that she loved him. They loved each other more than people say. Yes, they were partners, parents, friends, family, but also more than that. They were the one for the other. I don't care about all their other ships, they beat them all by miles. I really love Klayley. They're one of my main otps.

@@rayantanaewestbrook3818they can’t. The other side is gone. Kol and Elijah were brought back because their souls or spirits or whatever remained on the mortal plane kol’s in the ancestral well and Elijah’s in Freya’s amulet. When Hayley died her spirit passed on
