The pies picking up a winger was perfect. I think its understated how much of an issue that is for us. we needed a key back, but a key forward wasnt as important. Wing is somehting we are struggling with. we have josh ofc but sidebottom is getting old and we kept forcing people who arent wingers like IQ. So this is a perfect pick up. elite endurance with elite field kicking reminds me of a replacement for sidey
Alas we couldn't get Jack to land at North Pom. Guess we'll settle for the Whitlock warfare when North abd Port clash next year. Really happy with North's selections. Urquhart was quite a pleasant surprise and mote interesting is how he's a bit of a beast that gets up in your face during the game. This lad is massive literally! Haha. Very happy with our draft and glad the stress is over and we can focus on the biggest pre-season we've ever had at North. Keep up the great work my friend!
G'day mate, really happy with our lot in the draft, feeds what we need now and will in the future I tthink. Happy birthday to the better half enjoy the celebrations, Go Pom, Go Blues.
Love your video's mate. Keep 'em coming. Enjoy the next 6 weeks away from making a bunch of vids a week and will look forward to your stuff in the New Year. On Cody Anderson, we we're always taking him, or so I was told. I suspect that Sam sees a lot to work with and I would likely bet he gets a full season at Box Hill and unless a) injuries smash them, or b) he plays out of his skin, he won't get a senior game AND Sam will be happy with that. Look out for him in 2026/27 I reckon. he might get 1 at the end of the year if the last round is not a must win, just to give him a taste of it.
Yeah can't wait to see the kid for box Hill. There's something there 100%. Cheers mate I'll be around gonna do some kick back lives on and off till Xmas and they'll be club specific videos. Enjoy mate
@ mate in bail right now at the Alindra Villa Spa, Nusa Dua and relaxing after a hard year at work with the ball and chain, watching your content and having a couple drinks, just keep up your hard work and when your done get your ass over here and enjoy brother
Jagga will be a gun,so glad we were able to get Ofarrel at 40 and of course the Campo twins are where they belong,at Princes Park. Thanks for the insights into the draft Pom,your knowledge of all the potential draftees is amazing, looking forward to 2025💙
Love you Pomstar. And by the way you were spot on about Jagga. You consistently said he was the “safest” bet. Based on what the recruiters gave us regarding need for speed, Draper was the best fit. Other factors came into their selection 3 of our draftees bleed blue ❤️
@ can’t have enough good players. All the top 6 mids are blue chip . I also thought he wasn’t best need short term . But we all love his moves now . Unfortunately so will BT 😂
As a Port supporter pretty pleased with the draft, always wanted Berry from weeks ago, Riolo only a few years left,SPP injury prone, Richards not yet proven, McKenzie pretty average so needed an A grader small forward, also think a lot of our tall forwards are not performing,Lord hasn't come on, Marshall one concussion away from retirement, Georgie and Luka ok,but another tall forward was needed, especially one who can forward ruck also and getting a wingman who can run all day, can't complain
Really enjoyed the port listing's. Think your trade period was good too. I'm a massive lukosius fan too. So think you've got a really good injection into the club
I don’t know what Cal Twomey sees in Willem Duursma, as much as I admire Cal Twomey, but I don’t understand his obsession with Willem Duursma, from what I saw with Willem Duursma, he doesn’t get enough of the ball to hurt the opposition and he is a turnover merchant by foot
Thanks for all the content this year Pom. Getting bigger every season. Just something I have been thinking about the last few days regarding the true value of father son and academy players given your opinion that Ashcroft was the best player. How far ahead of the rest would one of these players have to be to be taken number 1? I think it has only happened once with Ugle-Hagen but maybe that ship has sailed. If Harley Reid was an academy pick last year do you think he would have been taken at 1?
Harley probably like daicos I think and would have shifted. Think the ugle hagan and Darcy were coz theybwere giants so hardly anyone like them. Thanks mate really appreciate you. Deffo cover some draft rules this off season and deep dive is it fair
Only thing I can think of would be a team having to hold a pick in the same round the player was selected. Would stop clubs trading backto get bulk latter picks to match. Would also make it harder for clubs with multiple nominations in the same round like Lions this year or Suns last year to take all their players which would put more talent in the open pool. Caveat would be if you have already taken a pick in that round your pick in the next round is what is used, benefiting teams lower down the ladder which is what we want.
Hi Pom, Here is a reminder re Spread of midfield minutes CFC 2024 v a HFC dynasty year comparison. Worth a deep dive? My theory is that the load in 2024 was spread to too few, thus contributing to overload and soft tissue injury. Maybe this has been the case in the recent past also? What do you think of a dedicated video to the topic with a sport scientist?

According to someone (who shall remain anonymous) in West Coast's trade 'war' room, Essendon reneged on a previously agreed pick swap with West Coast, so there was no chance West Coast were entertaining this one.
Thanks for all your hard work over this busy period mate 😊👍
My pleasure sir
Very bullish about Cochran :)
Love your trade and draft content pom all love

Blues had a great draft very happy with who we picked up future looks bright 💙
Overpaid for no 3 jagga. Draper will be just as good.
@@dougkercher3364okay if they’re equally as good how did we overpay…
Yeah blues killed it.. getting Jagga at 3 awesome.. there's Ashcroft and Jagga then the rest.. these two clearly best two in draft.
Stoked with the period too mate
@@christiancaluzzi620 do you actually realise what you paid to get to number 3 lol

We needed a forward for the future, in the end considering how late we came in we did really well
