I was so hoping they'd progress from the competitive spirit. (glad they did). Had the competition continue for 4 seasons, I would have been sick of it.

Yes I get that having a love war is the base of the story, but the characters themselves realise that their romance can progress when they let go of their ego, hence they are bound to have progressed eventually. But if they deliberately forget that progression, and kept going on in a love war, it would have became stale. Thankfully they did progress, and it's a 12/10 anime!

Season 3 is far from being bad, don't get me wrong, but i miss this competitive vibe from the 2 first seasons
Same but, I think the more they fall in love with each other the less competition happens between them.
