A BIG thanks to Oliver Landpower for supplying This JCB Fastrac 4220 ICON for us to have a look at. Can the new Cab layout cut the mustard? We find out!
The general camera work... drone work... mix and edit on this is taking it to the next level George. Beautifully done sir! That JCB is quite the bit of kit and all.
Very nice. I’m impressed with the previous generation. Been in one approx 6 weeks on a 16 ton Bailey trailer carting Potatoes. Not done any draft with it yet. Love it.
Explain very well bit different to my 2135 with all gadgets to make it easier to drive may have to leave Custard Cream’s at home. Keep up the good work family farm’s backbone of British agriculture.
I guess me and mucker are the same. I want the fwd and reverse pwr shuttle on the left column. I want the gear selector on my right thumb and everything is right in the world 😅 case puma 👍kubota m108x 👍 m9540 👍now the other case farmall it has the selector on the left side of the seat no power shuttle and the shifters on the right side of the seat for speed but its still a great tractor and I have run it for so many years I can shift and shuttle just as fast as the other tractors for the most part. I like the options to switch everything it looks like the tractor I would get my son to run because he loves the new tech. We are looking at the t5 and the vestrum we will probably go with the vestrum because it is just about all we can get after all the shortages and the new world we live in great video george
What the 4220 needs is a greater selection of wider wheels, and maybe some more horsepower closing the gap between the 4220 and the big 8000 series. It's a heavy tractor, and 540 or 600's are kind of narrow on a 7.5 ton tractor + the weight of the implements front and back :)
Here in my country no Tractor ever has big/wide wheel. I guess it heavily depens on the soil if you need them. I love how they look. More Variaty is always nice to have.
Looks mint George! Worth saying though that our Fendt Gen 6 has got all the same features on its screen and I think my neighbours new JD 6185r does as well, but good to see JCB keeping up with the herd.
Is the icon isobus ready as well? Could it run section control for sprayer, fert spinner, drill etc? That screen certainly is an improvement from the looks of it
The amount of technology in that machine, how long would it have taken in product development to get it to that final outcome ? If that is what is available today, I wonder what will be getting thought of today in product development that is going to be in future fastracs. Excellent video 👍
Looks like someone a happy boy wondered how long before you got your hands on the new fastrac had one few weeks ago on demo right power house pulls our larrington no problem fully loaded
would be nice to se4e a walk around and show how much tool storage it has, what its like on def and diesel usage i.e. how long the tank full lasts, also what the sound system, cup holders, cubby holes, cooler and other inside creture comferts are like and how they work
I haven't done a specific walk round purely because apart from the new control layout everything else is the same and I have covered it all before in previous videos.
Think i'll stick to old school moving a lever or two and using a clutch pedal and a big gear lever to change a gear, mind my tractor has got datatronic but i've only got 21 acres 😁
Mate, I’m extremely impressed with the intro before you start talking about it. The frame changes in time with the music, bud without pissing in ya pocket, that could be shown in a advert, easily. Was that Liz’s work/editing, yours or both?
That's a cracker looks really great tractor luxury indeed....... Still doesn't sound as good as the TW still my favourite tractor but got to give it to the fast track its nibbling at the TW a bit now 😁😁😁
Hi george great review, love the fastrac. Random question though... whats the soundtrack called you used at the start. It's perfect for one of my projects haha. Thanks :)
Great Intro there,Well Done on that,As an Ex Tractor Driver of Some Years ago ,When they All had a Clutch and Some Gear Levers plus Some more for Position and Draft Control I Feel Very Sad To See all this Computer Controlled Everything Now in Tractors As From Watching You It Appears A Driver Is Not a Driver Anymore Just a Computer inputter And Once All that Info is in The Tractor Does Not Need You in it To Drive it You Know Whats Coming in a Few Years So What Jobs Are All the Tractor Drivers Going to be Doing When there All Redundant ? A Large Farm With Say 5 or 6 Drivers Could Get Rid of 3 or 4 and Just Have a Mechanic and Another to Set Them up and Refuel The Robot Tractors If Elon Musk Gets in to These He Will Have That New Robot Doing the Refuelling as Well I Would Be More Happy to Keep Seeing Real People With Skills Driving Machines and Not Being Driven and Just Sitting there Looking at there Phone All Day,What a wast.
The same as everything else, there's a relentless drive to automate and to make things more reliant on electronics. I do get as much enjoyment in operating my Ford TW as I do on a Fastrac.
I guess with that being a demo machine it comes well specked, all those extras come with a hefty price tag. Watch wardys weekly waffle with his new 8RX drilling & see what tech can really do
Nice one sir.... looks like a computer on wheels. Hope it doesn't need updates every week 😆. How's the black paint on it fairing? Iv noticed a lot of the new diggers have issues with rust at under 100 hrs on some panels. Hope it's not on the fastrac paint line to.. 😬 stay safe sir. Ps. They need to offer you a 50% discount at this rate especially for that intro it was better than there own .
Sell two New Hollands and buy this new toy. I would really like to try it. I miss Fastracs mate. I really like this new facelift. Did you enjoy it though? Is the automatic transmission mode like TMS at Fendt?
That's exactly why alot of farmers don't like newer tractors. There's way too many settings and things you need to know to get the job done. Personally I would rather farm with basic knowledge equipment.
Like all systems i suspect you have to run around the outer edge of the field once and it will register the shape of the field, then just save it for the future.
George taking it to a whole new level with the cinematography
wow that looks good. Great to see you back in a 4220. Please forget to give it back as we need more videos like this !
Lovely Machine, would be good to see a 260/280hp model at some stage. Great video 👍
The general camera work... drone work... mix and edit on this is taking it to the next level George. Beautifully done sir! That JCB is quite the bit of kit and all.
Cheers Robert 👍
I love the start of this vid mate, no intro needed, just that very powerful from excitement chuckle says it all haha. Love it
Major step-up for the Fastrac here! You need to trade one of the T7's for one of these!
Mighty stuff Liz and George, a fine machine, great demo review👌👍🙂
Excellent, was hoping you’d get your hands on one of these. I’d love to see someone compare the icon to the new Fendt 724
Beautiful ,looking tractor, you can get alot of work done with that,George.Enjoy it
Got to be the best vid yet , ICON is a game changer . Had a go at highland show this year & the bank manager ran for the hills 🏴🚜😄👍🏻
The intro is fantastic George. Actually thought it was an official JCB promo film at first. Have rewatched it about 6 times now.
Cheers PB👍
Great video again George. Beautiful machine keep up the great videos. 😊
Finally! The video we’ve all been waiting for. It’s what it should’ve been from launch in 2014
Well done George back where you belong. Awesome machine.,
👍😀😀😀😀😀
Will you get mucka to have a look George ? It's always enjoyable to hear both your opinions on new stuff.
Maybe a TP special ?
That’s no reflection on you George- we know you love JCB, great review 👍
Grest vid, George 👍You've always been an advocate of these great, innovative machines - 3220, 7270, 8250, 4220. You've tried 'em all!
Very nice. I’m impressed with the previous generation. Been in one approx 6 weeks on a 16 ton Bailey trailer carting Potatoes. Not done any draft with it yet. Love it.
Fascinating video George level of technology in that brings it up into the realms of autonomous tractors 👍
fantastic video 👍George wow that is a bliming nice tractor far more simply laid out than the older ones
Saw this exact one at a ploughing match back in September fresh out the box. Beautiful machine
Great Video, and hopefully a great tractor! thanks for sharing
Thanks George for the video. New stuff is always good to try out.
Yes George love seeing that happy face and amazing I love JCB hopefully new toy for the future
Fantastic video and unbiased review, the JCB 4220Icon is a thing of beauty but just imagine the improvements with a Saunders customization.
How does the next driver work out which button is assigned to which service?
@@michaelminers2612haven't driven this, but usually there is some kind of profiles/save settings stuff.
Thanks George cracking vid sir... Take care...
Excellent review George. Covered everything very clearly 😁
Great video George nice bit of kit 👍👍👍
Another great Video George, well done and keep them coming
Explain very well bit different to my 2135 with all gadgets to make it easier to drive may have to leave Custard Cream’s at home. Keep up the good work family farm’s backbone of British agriculture.
Nice video again George plus music👍🚜
Sisu engine, Fendt transmission, smart touch screen. Looks amazing.

Would fit you well on the farm!

Hallo george Nice Film from the new fastrac icon. You are a very good cool farmer
A tremendous review of the Fastrac George , you drove it like you programmed it or stole it . Great video George 👍🔩🚜
That's some piece of kit, I'd have one over my car 😂👍
Class video. George. Class tractor too.🇮🇪🌟
Liz was like me when I first had a go with auto steer🤯😂 great video George what a machine
That was the first time I had ever driven a tractor with autosteer!
Weird isn’t it made me chuckle
Brilliant George, your best by far....
That laugh at the beginning of the video 😄😎
Brilliant review on the the JCB icon tractor keep up the great work
Cheers Luke 👍
@@GeorgeSaunders 👍👍
That look and laugh at the start 😂😂
Looks mint George! Worth saying though that our Fendt Gen 6 has got all the same features on its screen and I think my neighbours new JD 6185r does as well, but good to see JCB keeping up with the herd.
I agree Daniel, they've finally caught up. But the other manufacturers have offered it for a long time 👍
What a machine George. And also the flat lift didn't break it...🤣
Cracking video George,be nice to have 260 hp and 34 inch rims, shame it only has one years warranty and no finance deals as standard nowadays.
re bonjour George et Liz une très belle vidéo, il et bien le nouveau jcb et avec le GPS 😍👍👍👍
Nice One George Thanks again
Very impressive, can't imagine it'll be to long before they drive themselves and you can keep a watch from the farm office
Is the icon isobus ready as well? Could it run section control for sprayer, fert spinner, drill etc? That screen certainly is an improvement from the looks of it
wow 😮 i forgot what an amazing day that was 🥰

What a great office to work in
Cracking review George 👌🏻
Looks like someone a happy boy wondered how long before you got your hands on the new fastrac had one few weeks ago on demo right power house pulls our larrington no problem fully loaded
That's a great piece of kit! Looks like JCB have come up trumps again!
Thats the slowest i have ever seen for implement like this ;D. Nice Tractor.

She’s lovely george awesome videography. Still want you to review a Q series Valtra if you can.
Great tractor!
Nice bit of kit n good vid G. Just need the £150k or whatever they are now 😂
great review george
this buddy seat looks comfy, next try a Valtra Q Series?
Great vid . Fastrac is a Icon with all that tec what are you doing ??? just admiring the view and covering the foot brake HARR-HARR
Mate, I’m extremely impressed with the intro before you start talking about it. The frame changes in time with the music, bud without pissing in ya pocket, that could be shown in a advert, easily. Was that Liz’s work/editing, yours or both?
Cheers buh, a few folks have said it's better than what JCB themselves produced 😂 that was all my own work mate 👌👍
@@GeorgeSaunders I agree with them too ❤️👍😊
@@GeorgeSaunders oh and nice photography too bro
What a machine love it
George what a great video
Great use of technology but what happens when warranty runs out and faults occur. ? Expensive I would guess
The same as everything else, it soon gets expensive when things go wrong out of warranty
Have they put a camera on the hitch yet, i have seen a few that have been installed by the user
Best of British there George.
That's a cracker looks really great tractor luxury indeed....... Still doesn't sound as good as the TW still my favourite tractor but got to give it to the fast track its nibbling at the TW a bit now 😁😁😁
George Liam here from Ireland would you ever buy a 40 to 20
A very long way from the old grey Fergie. An impressive machine but at what cost?
That kinda a chisel plough with a Cambridge roller on the back?
Hi george great review, love the fastrac. Random question though... whats the soundtrack called you used at the start. It's perfect for one of my projects haha. Thanks :)
Hi Lucas, cheers mate 👍. If you go on audiojungle and search for dark hip-hop beat 👌
very very nice JCB 👍👍
Is there lower spec models of this as some people don't want there cabs filled with that much TEC. Cool machine tho

One sexy beast. The JCB 🤣🤣. Shame you never put it to something that might make it strain and cough 👍👍
I guess with that being a demo machine it comes well specked, all those extras come with a hefty price tag. Watch wardys weekly waffle with his new 8RX drilling & see what tech can really do
Last autumn, i could choose between 828 vario and 4220 at same price, i picked 828. 4220 is just too light for field works.
That's amazing.sounds like the best option. Would they be more than 150 thousand pounds plus vat to buy straight ? Or a bit less?
So uncluttered as well. Great visability.
I can't see anything I don't like either other than side windscreen wipers on the doors.
How did you manage to get your hands on that and keep it up your sleeve! Lol I bet you gave Liz the keys to hand over when it has to go back!
I don't know how I knew this was coming out 🤪
Psychic 😂
Used one of the original 165/65, many years ago, they have evolved into something else, or though the old ones were great.
When it starts pulsing drop the speed back a tad, it can get dam annoying lol, jd 6215R also does the same

I wonder if JCB are going to have a Hydrogen Fastrack as they are developing Diggers with Hydrogen engine's
keep it up mate
Front of the bonnett looks poorly sprayed. Great content.
It's ash from where the field was burned just pulling on to the engine intake.
@@GeorgeSaunders Thanks
Wow it make my 1135 look prehistoric George, any news on yours
Quick steer should be available on all makes of tractor.
Sell two New Hollands and buy this new toy. I would really like to try it. I miss Fastracs mate. I really like this new facelift. Did you enjoy it though? Is the automatic transmission mode like TMS at Fendt?
It is something else mate, I really enjoyed operating it! Yes the auto transmission is essentially the same as Fendt TMS👍

Great tractor and video George. One question, how does the GPS/guidance know the true shape of the field? Cheers!
When you do the headland or perimeter of the field, the GPS records what you have done, so you can get an accurate size of the field 👍
Like all systems i suspect you have to run around the outer edge of the field once and it will register the shape of the field, then just save it for the future.
