@@alex_flamer I dont hate it, I'm just bored with it. It's so mundane that it just puts me to sleep. There are some Mainstream bands that rule: Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica, Judas Priest etc but a lot of the music being pumped out these days is pop, soft rock(if you are lucky) and hip hop. Yikes, that shit is like everywhere. Vaporwave was big in the 2010's and most of my friends didn't even know it exists. My hot take: The anti-Christian aspect of metal is so played-out and cliche at this point, it's actually eye-rolling and will make me avoid whatever band does it. It's not that I'm offended (I used to be an atheist and am now more of an agnostic), but its a sign the band has nothing original to say. What made me realize it had become such an overused cliche was when I was reading Decibel Magazine sometime around 2015. They had an ad for all the new albums coming out that month, and at least 90% of them had some anti-Christian theme to it. When 40 out of 50 bands are all doing the exact same thing, it's no longer edgy, it's trendy.
It's a crutch much in the same way that communism is used by RABM and Nazism is used in NSBM. The shock value (unlike say with 90s WASP) hides a total lack of genuine musical talent. Profanatica comes to mind, imo
At least Helmet had the balls and decency to tell the fans that they have to cancel their tour due to low tix sales. That broke my 90's hardcore heart tbh 😞

yup it do be like that. Me, a South African Black dood who listens to death metal is constantly getting side eyed by everyone(friends and relatives) since metal isn't really a big thing here
I mean unless it's from the NSBM bands which aren't that popular anyway people shouldn't have to worry about racism in metal. Unless you're looking for that stuff or those types of bands.
I hate when a band says they're "bringing back 80s thrash" when there are other bands claiming they're doing that too and they make it their whole image.

Sharon Osbourne was notorious for canceling Ozzy shows in the 80s if not enough tickets were sold by 2-6 weeks before the date of the show. Reason was always due to illness.
I actually don't disagree about Metalcore being the pop music of metal, that's probably why I enjoy it so much lol. Lots of room on my playlist between Archspire and Sabrina Carpenter yaknow.
To be far their were bands already doing that way back then. Body Count Stuck Mojo and Clawfinger just to name a few. Hell even Pro-Pain's first album.
I will say, what I like about Liquid Death is that their sparkling waters are just slightly sweetened enough that they scratch the itch I would have for a soda at like one tenth the amount of sugar. Same for their iced teas. I used to pound Arizonas, but now I need to watch my sugar, and Liquid Death is great for that without cutting sugar out entirely.
i disagree liquid death is actually the best water quality in a product you can buy at the gas station. its actually a superior quality product and id rather spend money on water which is the best option for hydration
Super contraversial opinon: Just because they are signed to your label doesnt mean the music is the best thing since sliced bread. A lot of labels are doing this lately (looks particularly at Indias Transcending Obscurity)
I think everyone should take notes on Lemmy (God) on the first one. Seriously. Liquid Death sucks too, has it first time 3 years ago and it tastes like mud water, the fuck?

It’s the insane arrogance and crybaby attitude when it comes to Ronnie radke. Like Falling in Reverse is really cheesy and bad. Yet he thinks they’re the greatest band ever. Actually he never really mentions the band he just talks about himself. I just think he’s a douche bag and his music sucks. Lol
Haha yea Smash is a great dude I met him through Hypnotic. I don't really consider myself a soldier in the gamergate 2 fight but I'm a lone wolf contractor that often fights alongside them lol
Dont pee in bottles and throw them at the crowd below. I saw this when Ghost were at the O2 in Brixton and it was just gross. Just coz the warm up bands were Metalcore doesn't mean you act like shitheads. I reported them to security but I don't think they took any notice.
I saw Living Colour back in the 90's and almost got KILLED because they had a pit. Did NOT see that coming and barely made it out alive, LOL! Good add times and what a freakin Killlller show they put on.
Hot take: the men who play the instruments in baby metal are talented, but they hide their faces for a reason. The vocals of the 3 women singing in chibby pop style not only don't fit with the music that is being played, but it comes off like nails to on a chalkboard to any rational person who loves actual metal music. The people who like/love this music are not only in denial, but they are experiencing a severe level of cognitive dissonance similar to stockholm syndrome. Also apropos to people who blindly belive lies about President Trump and hate him.
I live in South Carolina. I've seen several Burzum patches and shirts at shows, as well as confederate flag patches, tattoos, etc and no one cares. But there are some places ( liberal bars)where someone might say something depending who's wearing it 😆 if it's a big scary biker they won't say shit!😅
Rage Against the Machine is a great example of record label boot lickers who tell you to not buy into the system 😂 Slipknot might be the worse for it tho
I can't understand a normal person _not_ having a problem with Varg lol. Like... to the point, I don't understand how he's not abhorred on a level like Ronnie Radke is, weirdly, cause Ronnie hasn't really ever done anything wrong besides punch a guy and violate his probation. Varg's factually more foundational to an entire genre though, that's indisputable. I never liked "kvlt" black metal personally, always seemed like a competition in who could make the worst lo-fi noises. 😂
Dimebag Darrel was an amazing person and guitar player. But Pantera is overrated as hell. and i hate when people say they "saved metal" in the 90s. and I agree. anti-elitism is fucking annoying. to me, arguing about "which album is better/which band is better/what sucks and what doesnt" is actually one of my favorite things to do in the metal community. It's fun, and I love finding others equally as passionate about metal as me. but some people will come out of the wood works and say "JUST LET PEOPLE ENJOY THINGS!" if I go off about a band/genre/album that I don't like. and I'm like "fuck you I can hate what I wanna hate!" and if someone calling you a "poser" hurts you that much that you "wanna leave the metal community" then maybe you always were one to begin with. hell ive been called a "hipster/poser" for one reason or another throughout my life. I'm still listening to those "poser" bands 20 years later. get into metal because you love metal. not so strangers can give you a sense of validation. if someone tells you what you should like, and you don't like it, then just go about your fucking day. it's not that hard.
5:55 real. I dislike mix of clean and harsh too exception for some songs (austere this dreadful emptiness and dark the suns all ends in silence) This dreadful emptiness clean vocal just sounds like clean version of the screaming vocal. Same energy, same intensity basically. Doesn't feels like a drastically different styles of singing. All ends in silence has female clean vocal layered with the male screaming vocal but the female vocal's volume is kinda low and not so noticeable at first listen. Kinda similar to the beginning of behemoth o father o satan o sun.
If you want someone that's offending everyone go listen to Roger Waters' solo work lmao. You don't want to offend "everyone" you want to offend the powers that be.
I didn't think Ronnie Radke would be considered metal or whatever. Also the first album of Falling Reverse is the only one I like and its a guilty pleasure 10/10 🚬🗿 lol
Also the racism thing, I noticed it also depends on the kind of metal. One of my girlfriends best friend is a black woman, and she was at a Black Metal concert here in the Netherlands, I forgot what band, but it was one she loved. The singer looked her in the eyes, and did the Nazi salute. I absolutely hate that, BUT that being said... there are always assholes, no matter where you go.
Liquid Death is gimmicky, sure, but the quality is unmatched. Tastes a hell of a lot better than Dasani or Arrowhead. Definitely better than the tap water they give you at my local venue. Also, I had to look up Wind Rose after this video, and they’re pretty fucking awesome. Bloodywood is one of my favorite new bands I’ve discovered this year, and I’m stoked to see them at Sonic Temple next year. The only controversies I’ve seen about metal are with bands like Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, and Aborted. They just have more extreme imagery and subject matter. None of them actually believe in what they sing about. I seriously doubt Dying Fetus is all about murdering babies in real life. People just need to chill out. 😂
well, I am an old man (probably a poser)...but no metal fan discovers his love to it from extreme metal (maybe from the older brother) .. for me those80ies hairspray bands paved their way for me...nowadays I am a weirdo listening to prog, Indie hard rock and so one...next live show for me will be Fit for an Autopsy and Darkest Hour (they played metalcore before the term was invented)... so crucify me..on christmas I'll enjoy Beethoven and Bruckner (and maybe Mortification)...and I don't know who Ronnie Radke is (I know Dio and Romero)
Personally, I don't like music that sounds like mud or vocals that sound like elephants farting. If vocals sound like I could do the exact same thing by burping into a microphone, I turn it off IMMEDIATELY. (Sorry, Wyatt)
I hate mixing harsh and clean vocals. It's bi-polar metal. They're all angry and aggressive one moment, and in love the next. It reminds me of when my parents used to fight when they were drunk. And it's so formula..harsh through the verse and clean through the chorus. I stop a song as soon as I hear. Only Enslaved and Fear Factory did it well.
I like clean vocals in metal songs but agree that they don't always sound good or should not be there at times. Not a fan of Falling in Reverse but if people are going to complain stop listening to the band and move on I've tried to listen to Ghost but I just can't get through a single song. Racism in metal is weird to me especially since you had Electric Callboy and Babymetal do a song together. I would actually like to see more collabs like this. I only listen to Lorna Shore in deathcore. I need to try harder in finding more music.
The vox in knocked loose completly ruin the songs for me, I'd probably like them if they were an instrumental band the musicianship is great Someone in the vid said it sounds like mickey mouse no it sounds like crying angery spongebob but not in the funny entertaining way
you using your channel to promote your band is part of the problem. musicians should separate themselves from the music. people want to be celebrities more than they want to be musicians. if there is no personal recognition then they don't want to be a musician. that's all i need to know about someone.

yup it do be like that.
Some bands and the especially the fans are hella racist and just parrot what their favorite racist ass bands say or do.
I hate when a band says they're "bringing back 80s thrash" when there are other bands claiming they're doing that too and they make it their whole image.
I remember the Thrash revival of the 2010s. It was good for a time, especially in my local scene. Now it's the SoundCloud Rap of Metal; people will look at you like "Really, bro? Let it go."
LMFAO at myself bc I actually thought it was an alcoholic bev and was REALLY pissed that is was just stupid aluminon tasting water. And that shit aint cheap either.
Sharon Osbourne was notorious for canceling Ozzy shows in the 80s if not enough tickets were sold by 2-6 weeks before the date of the show. Reason was always due to illness.
Maybe the posers was the friends we made along the way?
Yeah your racism take is pretty agreeable. I think some people just see it as a mostly white audience and think that's a problem inherently.
Metal is not inherently racist. Unfortunately, there are a lot of racists who listen to/make metal music.
Which means it's inherently racist, ingrate.
Liquid Death is great sparkling water. I love all their flavors.
I actually don't disagree about Metalcore being the pop music of metal, that's probably why I enjoy it so much lol.
Lots of room on my playlist between Archspire and Sabrina Carpenter yaknow.
There's a band that mixed rapping and metal perfectly: Archspire. Change my mind!
To be far their were bands already doing that way back then. Body Count Stuck Mojo and Clawfinger just to name a few. Hell even Pro-Pain's first album.
My answer was the easy one: Linkin Park.
@@xavierwalko4175 I don't really listen to them anymore but Point of Authority still goes hard.
The berry tea and half&half from Liquid Death is pretty good, but I wouldn't spend $2.50 on canned water. lol.
Off topic, your band rocks, keep crushing ❤
Thank you!!
Super contraversial opinon: Just because they are signed to your label doesnt mean the music is the best thing since sliced bread. A lot of labels are doing this lately (looks particularly at Indias Transcending Obscurity)
"If You're Not Hated then You haven't achieved Success"--Rob Zombie 🤘🤘🤘
Keep karate out of the pit
I think everyone should take notes on Lemmy (God) on the first one. Seriously. Liquid Death sucks too, has it first time 3 years ago and it tastes like mud water, the fuck?
Liquid Death tastes like Liquid Ass.
Ya know what. I'll say it. I absolutely love a day to remember. And I don't even consider it a guilty pleasure.
13:19 Grand Belial’s Key, Svolder, Infidel (Maryland) is where you can find non-Christian blasphemy
27:53 hey that’s me!
22:23 If you don’t like Deathcore because of the TikTokification (I feel it) I have a couple of song recommendations for you of some *good* deathcore in my opinion.
It’s okay if you don’t like it. People who get upset over differing musical opinions confuse me.
The Crimson Armada ~ Revelations
PSYCHO-FRAME ~ The Plot to Nuke the Midwest
AngelMaker ~ Aradia
"Metalheads will never be cool."

😼
imo loathe mixes clean and harsh vocals perfectly
YEAH BUT, PANTERA DOOD?
As far as bands doing extreme vocals and cleans in the same song, whitechapel did a damn good job
Lol
Damn boi. I just saw your ass on SmashJT's channel. I remember before you even came up with "Film Rebel". Right on, man
Haha yea Smash is a great dude I met him through Hypnotic. I don't really consider myself a soldier in the gamergate 2 fight but I'm a lone wolf contractor that often fights alongside them lol
@wyattsmetal hell yeah! Get it, gurl
@wyattsmetal oh yeah, you still in LA?
Yup!
Hot take: Lars doesn't know what he's talking about.
I would rather drink tap water instead of Liquid Death.
Bloodywood f**king RULE!
Pretty much agree with everything, - the knocked loose slander xD
in phoenix az, a lot of metal heads that go to shows are hispanic and native american
Just a comment that needs to be seen, SEATED METAL EVENTS SUCK
100%!!!
YESSSSSSSSSS Seats at metal shows can kiss my ass lol
Hardcore shows are like IRL Pregame lobbies of PUBG when it first came out.
SICK OF IT ALL RUUUUUUUUUUUUUULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What about 3 inches of blood vocals??
Dont pee in bottles and throw them at the crowd below. I saw this when Ghost were at the O2 in Brixton and it was just gross. Just coz the warm up bands were Metalcore doesn't mean you act like shitheads. I reported them to security but I don't think they took any notice.
@@starscreamthecruel8026 THIS
C'mon cutie..."Pittsburgh" by Amityville Afflction? Still Gold.
Ex-Fear Factory's Burton C Bell does amazing with the mix of clean vocals and growls
But there are some places ( liberal bars)where someone might say something depending who's wearing it 😆 if it's a big scary biker they won't say shit!😅
....and "White Chapel" ..Love❤
Deep Purple did that to sell tickets
Yes leave signs home for music, but wwe you GOTTA bring a sign 🙏
Rage Against the Machine is a great example of record label boot lickers who tell you to not buy into the system 😂 Slipknot might be the worse for it tho
Nah, Zack is way more annoying than Corey. Legit exponential math there. 🤣
Or Green Day, but at least they're less preachy and more goofy.
How can metal sell out when 90 percent of bands make any REAL money
I can understand if you have a problem with Varg, but his early albums are masterpieces and Burzum are an essential part of black metal.
See I don't even like Burzums music but I agree with this comment
@@wyattsmetalHave you ever heard the song Lost Wisdom? Definitely one of the best songs of the second wave of black metal.
Preach 👏👏👏
5:55 real. I dislike mix of clean and harsh too exception for some songs (austere this dreadful emptiness and dark the suns all ends in silence)
This dreadful emptiness clean vocal just sounds like clean version of the screaming vocal.
I tried Liquid Death as a gag for the first time at a show last night... it tastes worse than my Nordic tap water.
Liquid Death tastes amazing if youre sick and dehydrated
It's got electrolytes!
I pay my band members with Liquid Death.
well, I am an old man (probably a poser)...but no metal fan discovers his love to it from extreme metal (maybe from the older brother) .. for me those80ies hairspray bands paved their way for me...nowadays I am a weirdo listening to prog, Indie hard rock and so one...next live show for me will be Fit for an Autopsy and Darkest Hour (they played metalcore before the term was invented)... so crucify me..on christmas I'll enjoy Beethoven and Bruckner (and maybe Mortification)...and I don't know who Ronnie Radke is (I know Dio and Romero)
Elitsts are Swifties
Personally, I don't like music that sounds like mud or vocals that sound like elephants farting. If vocals sound like I could do the exact same thing by burping into a microphone, I turn it off IMMEDIATELY. (Sorry, Wyatt)
Yeah, you nailed it.
Your takes are not controversial at all.
Not a fan of Falling in Reverse but if people are going to complain stop listening to the band and move on
I've tried to listen to Ghost but I just can't get through a single song.
Racism in metal is weird to me especially since you had Electric Callboy and Babymetal do a song together. I would actually like to see more collabs like this.
I only listen to Lorna Shore in deathcore. I need to try harder in finding more music.
The only good thing i like about Ghost is that the ex members made PRIEST, and theyre pretty fkn great!! 😂
The vox in knocked loose completly ruin the songs for me, I'd probably like them if they were an instrumental band the musicianship is great Someone in the vid said it sounds like mickey mouse no it sounds like crying angery spongebob but not in the funny entertaining way
Filth is a good example of rap and metal!
Mindless self indulgence, gwar, infant annihilator, are all fairly offensive. It feels like deviloof is offensive by Japanese standards.
Remember shirts being $8-10
Blame inflation and greed just like everything else on this planet.
Just wanna say I told Wyatt to do this so your welcome
Nu metal is heavy hip hop.
13:21 Svolder and NSBM joins the chat
I think there is an over saturation of metal
List to gore grind, love everyone, offend them anyway
you using your channel to promote your band is part of the problem. musicians should separate themselves from the music. people want to be celebrities more than they want to be musicians. if there is no personal recognition then they don't want to be a musician. that's all i need to know about someone.
