Thanks for this info Nick I actually have a clip of you on my channel talking about monetizing early on in the game. So I appreciate the upload. 👋👊. Also your advice on how to end a video has really helped my retention & endscreen CTR by not using finalizing language so thanks for that too.
Hey Nick ... love your background and LIGHTING. I wondered if you would share how you did it? Also would love to know what camera and lighting you are using? Great video. Great ideas. I am a streamyard subscriber ...
Isn't Nick's setup amazing!?! It inspires me to up my studio set up too... he has a bunch of videos on his RUclips channel if you search Nick Nimmin lighting they should all come up 😃 Here's a good one: ruclips.net/video/K8Rg4a8SzgU/видео.html and I also really like this lighting video from Dee Nimmin! ruclips.net/video/3Kgp1iVG0rc/видео.html ~Dana
Do you have any advice for a behind the scenes investor? I figure it's like a music label signing and developing an artist. Would me covering the production and marketing expenses then, deducting the expenses and sharing net revenue with the streamer be a great way?
So I have a financial model in Excel that I put together to manage my RUclips (and writing / education business) that projects future subscriber and revenue growth, etc. I don't think it is worth anything to anyone else, but like your planner, Nick, is that something you think has a market?
Potentially. Social blade has part of their website built around growth predictions so taking that and adding an accurate financial model around it might be something people would buy. - Nick
@@StreamYard Yeah. I forecast subscriber growth in 4 different ways: linear regression, % relationship between views and subscribers, bass diffusion curves, and hybrid (regression + views / subscriber). I could easily build a 5th scenario that takes in social blade's predictions as an input. I've been planning a video for a while on how I might demonstrate it. We'll see.
Also, the most unpredictable variable is impressions, but it is the most under RUclips's control. That's why it's so confounding. You never know when RUclips will seemingly randomly decide to promote a video.
I literally was just looking for an iPad content creation calendar app, then saw this video! Share a link to your calendar so I can check it out please! :)
Hey Doug. It’s not an app, it’s a PDF with clickable annotations that gets loaded into the GoodNotes app for iPads. I didn’t update the calendar for 2022 but I will be for 2023. DM me on Twitter and I’ll give you one for free so you can see what it is and use the huge amount of other useful things in it. - Nick
Thanks Nick - great info as always. I still haven't made the live stream leap, but maybe soon. Hard to believe I've turned down three sponsor offers already - not good fits for my audience. Very nice people and products, just not good fits.
It’s great to see you’re turning down offers already. That’s a challenge for a lot of people but considering the audience first is the right thing to do. - Nick
Love these videos that provide such great information. Even after watching them I still sit there like a deer in the headlights about things I could create or offer. 😶 Hey! Appeared as one of the "Green Names" Wooohooo! 😂
For gaming it’s a little more challenging but you could mix in reviews of some of the gaming tech on the affiliate side. I’ve seen people, after they crossed 10k subs sell short courses on how to grow their gaming channels. I’ve seen people selling pdf guides of maps, loot locations, etc. Your other channel would be easier but you could monetize both. - Nick
Thanks Nick. I have a You Tube survival gaming channel just started and this will help out a lot to grow my channel. Appreciate all your knowledge 👍🏻❤️
Am not sure whats the fuss about youtube livestreams, if youtubers cant get direct money from youtube? Plus the channel has to be very large to be accepted to display merchendise.
You sound entirely different than you did in the previous video I just watched where you're doing lighting... like you don't even sound like the same person.

@stevon what video is that?
Good stuff!
Excellent! I love seeing this Stevon! 🙏
@@NickNimmin Thanks man, thought you might like that 😎
I hope everyone gets some solid value out of this video!
@Aaron's House of Legos It's all safe but there is definitely a learning curve of sorts if it's all new to you.

That red mug was awesome, where can I get it? 😆
We agree!
Hahahahaha. For the record everyone, that mug is merch from Doug Hewson YT! (The comment above)
people can donate to you on twitch if you are streaming from streamyard?
