Hello and thank you for your detailed response . Yes I do agree fully with you. I wish you had more time to visit some other parts of Pakistan too but I guess it's not always safe to travel much to the North-West and West ; though though suppose you could have gone North proper to Gilgit-Baltistan and uptil the Chinese border ? I'm sure you can always visit there again. I have been lucky to visit some South Asia (Pakistan , India , Bangladesh and Nepal) a number of times over many years and I feel that these places tend to open up gradually as you explore them and then they yield more and more hidden cultural treasures. It's the same everywhere but I've had more opportunity to explore these parts , due to my family /ancestral connections. I wish I had more opportunity to visit /see Europe in detail ! 😄 I've only a cursory experience I'm a few countries there. Good luck with your travels . Iook forward to seeing more .

Thanks for your comment. Officially it is forbidden for Muslims to buy or drink wine in Pakistan, isn't it? As we have experienced it depends on the region, some are more open, some are stricter or?
It is illegal for Muslim to buy alcohol here. I don't know why the above comment is saying it is okay, probably a fake account, nobody in Pakistan would ever tell you that wearing bikini is okay. It isn't, it is against local culture. @@Leanhendrik

Problem is that most Pakistanis think that the tourists should see modern shopping malls and they think showing authentic Pakistan is backward. They don't know that the Tourists want to see something unique, they have seen enough shopping malls in their own country. Your host is doing a good job. I once had German Pakistanis visiting and I knew what they wanted to see (something modern). I took them to PC hotel for breakfast, Packages Mall, Lahore Museum, and Pizza hut for dinner and they loved it. They were so happy that their uncle from the UK sent me a thank you card (He was my mentor when he was in Lahore)!!! I would not have taken a native German to Pizza Hut or Packages Mall.@@Leanhendrik
