I love this! I have a question though, how do you animate in non-animation apps?? People use layers as frames and I'm like wondering how they scrub through it and confirm that it's correct--
Ah thing I am interested in is: How do you manage the layers? Do you use one layer for the storyboard/sketch, one for lineart ect. or do you use one layer per frame or one layer for hair, one for facial features ect.?
It really depends! I've had experience doing both. 1 layer for each part is mainly for tweening, but just layers in general is for the animation itself!
I am not sure if you have tried this method before but, I'd recommend at least trying to break down the character into simpler shapes almost like a stick man to get the flow right if that makes sense. Rather then drawing out the entire character every frame, it's drawing out a simple almost stick man version with the most defining traits to get the flow right before jumping into the larger details. That had worked for me personally, not sure if you have tried it but I recommend giving it a shot.
Hi Riko! (I hope this comment doesn’t sound rude) How did you set up your tablet? I got a D16 drawing tablet (not the pro version) from Artisul last year and the screen never worked. Like the screen does show my monitor but when I go to my drawing program it doesn’t show it? We tried if it was just that program but nothing else works either. It shows the same screen you have on 2:03 but NEVER anything else. So I can’t see what I’m drawing. We’ve contacted Artisul many times but we’ve had no answers. We talked to a graphics person and they told us to try diffrent cabels, because of this we bought extra 3 cabels and tried all of them and NONE of them seem to get the tablet to work? We have also tried diffrent diffrent drivers. Do you have any ideas what I could do, contacting Artisul has not been working so we haven’t had any other ideas.
just asking, what happened to the discord server?? I never left it im pretty sure, did you guys delete it??? i miss kyuu and the others i talked to on there 🙁

The moment I saw it I remember this channel from when I was younger and I had drawing your oc once because it was so cool. the part that i love the most in animation its when theres a frame that make my OCs look silly lol I probably love doing the lineart the most (shading in flipaclip can be fun sometimes too) but i just hate coloring, its just so aaaaa

I kinda use 1 layer for everything respectively. Sometime I'll separate the body parts for each layer but that's rare xD

You need to click drag your program window to the tablet screen :0 than change the pen work area to the tablet screen!
