with the state that the game is in rn, i don't blame him. specs do like 50% of your overall damage instead of just complementing your stand damage as of now, so playing further away against a boxing player is basically a given (unless you're also playing a close-range stand). granted, most players who are 'running' are genuinely just trying to run away and aren't trying to play ranged, but you can't really be mad if it works against you.
tbh unreworked specs (except spin spin needed it) were the example of a compliment, with a combo extender and a damage dealing move that also got you some combos sometimes that helped stands to get even more damage. The rework added more moves and each of them does abbisal damage and the game turned from actual fighting to haymaker simulator or big move that deals damage
This is why i stopped using tusk. It only benefits runners and I find it super janky to use mid to close range due to how often the nails bug out despite still finding it to be more effective
Tip: purposely miss the end of Ora kicks if he didn’t barrage and punish him even more with m1 and if you hit make sure you barrage before he gets up so he has no stand and free damage
YBA players trying to explain how not being able to attack the running ta4 and block its attacks at the same time is skill issue and how ta4 + 6 second ts twoh/sptw combo is balanced(ta4 will resist the entire ts and will attack you in it basically guaranteeing a win in 2v2s)
personally. when i ever join a yba main game i kill every ta4 rker that bds a full hp player or tries to do it. since it's like a 3 minute cd to use it and it does 0 damage to you almost if you're full hp so it just annoys me a lot
