Super Turbo time! Another muffler from the shootout video ( ruclips.net/video/yDHV4D2peg4/видео.html) put to test on the road. A little quieter than the rest but they sound really good, and if you like a deep rumble with some BASS then these are your style.
I've had a set of these on my '64 C10 since 1995. They were 29 bucks and Flowmasters were 10 dollars more so I went with the Super Turbos. They actually say Walker instead of Dynomax. They've been behind 3 different engines. They've been backfired through, scraped nearly flat, and layed out in the yard and got rained in while I was worķing on the truck. They're nicely seasoned. They're nice and quiet at idle and cruise, but not too much imo. They have a nice roar at WOT. Just perfect. Not too obnoxious, and not too quiet. Love that car man.
I had single chamber flowmasters before these. These mufflers made me love my car again. I enjoy the noise of the engine, solid lifters, header ping over loud exhaust.
My first impression was, these are great 'sneaking out of the neighborhood' mufflers. Hats off to the photographer, the unsung hero of every great video. 🔥
yes bro, i have this on my jeep and car...the pick up sound is just amazing with super turbo boost!! It is a classic hot rod muffler, sounds great on trucks too ! cheers to dynomax!
I took off a set of 3" 2 chamber Jegs Flowmasters that were too loud. I put these on, and it brought it down from annoying, and afraid that I was going to get a ticket to a nice old school hotrod sound on my 64 Galaxie fastback 401FE, 10.8:1, 286 292 dur 560 lift Howards Cams hydraulic roller. I recommend these mufflers.
Oh Damn !! The Bay Area ... Thought I recognized Guadalupe Canyon .. before the flowmaster thing I used to get the turbo muffs at Gene Lockhart mufflers in Daly City .. Bad Ass 57 Turbos Sound good on her !!
Jones Full Bore Stainless. My quest was tame till I give it the beans. Then it's 'HELLO'. Even though mine are Side In - Center Out they are straight through. Glad. One day on the boulevard heading home from a parts run I ended up next to a Sheriff. Light to light to light. DOH....
I have to agree on the sound. I hope people don't think that by installing the same mufflers you are trying will make Their car sound like yours. Your engine is what makes those mufflers sound good. Anyway turbo mufflers are too quiet for me.

Yeah she's doing great, I will let her know you think so too. 👍
Have these mufflers on my square box chevy truck for 11 years. Great bang for your buck! Great flow and classic sound! Love your '57!! Wow!!
i appreciated the flow over the noise.ran these on my 5.0 in the 80s, 90s.

Love the car,and that you have put so much effort into it. Not paying someone to do it. We're to broke to pay,we gotta learn to do it.
@@tonyg2978 Exactly, plus I just prefer to do everything myself. The build is the best part.
Classic sound! They may not flow the greatest but they scream traditional hot rod!
They sound awesome! That 57 is sweet!
Sounds good to me. After the many loud vehicles with drone I’ve owned; slightly quieter sounds nice for a driver.
I like that muffler
Glad I was wearing headphones 😍

Sounds authoritative but quieter than others I’ve had.
I run these on my BB ElCamino. Good muffler.
Modeled after Turbo Corvair mufflers. Been using simiar ones since 1975.
Guess who designed them.
@@hotrodray6802 Zora Arkus Duntov? John DeLorean? Smokey Yunick? I dunno.

He’ll yeah
Sounds good as always a little too quiet but some people like that

Used the Ultra Flo since the mid 90's and everyone asks what muffler is that? Would consider these too, sounds great thanks.
Cool hot rod! Did you use rear spring location kit or stock setup? What rear wheel and tire sizes?
@@cobyburrow9339 Yes I did the rear spring relocation. The rear wheel is a 15x8.5, with a 28x10.5 M&H slick.
just put these on my 86 foxbody trying to quiet it down!
90 doing same
What are you running for a power plant between those fenders? I thought I saw a tunnel ram intake.
@@seanjohnson386 Check out the video description for all the specs.
Any other brands besides spank max?
How much for my old 57 I would like to have it back so tell me how much are you willing to trade?
Would sound 10X better with pipes out the back. Still sounds great dumped though.
that looks like sandiego
Testing lots of mufflers gives you a lot of excuses to go out and drive like a hoon. Seems like a good idea to me.
@@armcchargues8623 its my favorite part 😁
