This episode really frustrates me, because the others never learn that Donkey Kong was set up and didn't actually do all those things that annoyed/angered everyone. They just wanted him back because he was the only one who could deal with King K. Rool. It's such a shame...

Mario and the rest of the mushroom kingdom are chilling until Bowser and his army decides to mess it up as usual, this time more powerful than ever, and also in the process kidnaps Peach. Bowser then decides to ruin Donkey Kong’s jungle, enraging him. Afterwards, Mario, knowing he can’t possibly beat Bowser and his army, decides to recruit his brother Luigi, Toad, and Donkey Kong, in a truce. They go along on a long adventure where they meet a ton of enemies that they’re mostly able to get by with ease. However, mid way there, they get attacked by a small army of Bowser’s army, and somehow lose because Donkey Kong was blind to the true danger that it held. After they’re beaten and shown that there is almost no hope of ever getting Peach back, at least in the group they’re currently in, they get into a big argument and split their ways. Mario, Luigi and Toad go on their way to try and beat Bowser. Donkey Kong, feeling humiliated and knowing that he can’t ever possibly beat Bowser on his own, decides to not go through with the plan at first to beat Bowser on his own, and then runs away to hill in a snow filled land, where this song plays

I think that rumor might have been debunked, but I believe it was also claimed to be DK's dialogue actor (Richard Yearwood) rather than his Singing actor (Sterling Jarvis)
In this iconic scene, we see the prodigious Donkey Kong at his lowest point. Drained of his defining strength, and crushed under waves of self loathing, DK wails his sorrow into the cold unfeeling world in this chilling musical number. Many have speculated that the plane's erratic flight pattern prior to the opening verse is deeply rooted symbolism, for the rise, fall, and redemption of the titular biblical figure Sampson, which this genre defining story took it's inspiration from. Perhaps the infinite blue void symbolizes God, or a deity of some sort that Donkey Kong laments to. When viewed through this religious lens, the line "Can anybody tell me what I've done wrong? I'm all alone and I'm so confused." can be seen as DK questioning his faith, and for once opening his mind to the prospect of a truly random, and chaotic realm in which he is absolutely alone. While chilling to think of, this scene is iconic because of the several possible interpretations of what lies in Donkey Kong's mind, and beyond. No matter how you view it, it's hard to deny the chills that sink to one's bones when hearing DK accept his grim reality as, as he puts it, "an absolute zero." This effectively canonically chronicles DK's decent into nihilism, which of course forever echoes in the DK mythos. Just as Walter White "died" in the crawlspace, and emerged as something new, The same happen's to DK, as we see the downfall of the Kong family in years to come. Of course, as God allowed Sampson his strength back for one final righteous slaughter, the bulls-eye banana restores strength back to a whole new entity, one that only barely resembles Donkey Kong on the surface. Overall, this scene is timeless, and damn flawless too. I've yet to see another like it with as much thematic relevancy, and raw emotion. Truly, a perfect scene.

Plus it says something when Nintendo decided to incorporate the Crystal Coconut into their games (despite it functioning different) as well as referencing DK's catchphrase in Tropical Freeze.

The show is so off-model, it's sort of terrifying me. But whoever voiced Donkey Kong is an AMAZING singer!
It was one of the first animated series to use motion tracking for lip movements and motions, but the models they used didn't fit that style, problem with mid 90's cg at the time, Reboot has some of the same problems

This is the first episode in the show that I genuinely enjoyed. Everybody said the show was terrible and didn’t deserve any credit, but I didn’t listen. I watched this show, and this is evidence that the show really was something special.

The writing is lackluster, the animation on anything but the fight scenes is lazy at best, most of the characters are walking stereotypes. Sudden Elephant generations was not that good. For a anniversery game it was to short and they changed all the voice actors even though the fans knew what they should sound like. (Shadows new voice was the worst)
