Another good second half for the team to clinch a playoff spot in a weak division, playing hopefully an easy team in the first round presuming Blackwood doesn’t have a .950 save%. I like what I see from the top 6, the defense adjusted well to the changes and the goaltending is looking about as good as you can expect from EA. Despite only having 41 wins or whatever, I really think this team has a chance of going deep. Also, that dobson 3-way trade was incredible - I’ve never seen Dobson sim above 50 or so points, so it’s great that you were able to unlock his full potential while moving out Bouchard and acquiring some good pieces. Rasmussen and chinakov were good moves on paper, clearly they don’t sim too well though…goldmann had a nice end to his season, has he earned back that 3C spot, or do we stick with the higher overall? Tough decisions. I trust that you will be able to fix the pk as well, we have some good defensive forwards so it doesn’t make sense, but that’s EA I guess. I would also move barabanov to the fourth for podkolzin, barabanov is getting pp time anyways, and we know what a monster playoff podkolzin can be! I would think Jones is our starter as well, on a short-ish leash if he keeps getting blown out. Other than that the only thing I would change is taking Ronni off your ahl roster. Yes it is!! And you're exactly right about our chances despite winning only 41 games. No jinx intended, but our team is definitely better than our record shows as we should probably have finished closer to 50. Dobson blew me away! I don't know if that production will end up just being a one year thing, but I'll gladly take it haha. @Data782 Honestly, that Dobson move was *insane*, very well done. Definitely may be the best trade of this series so far. The other trades are okay, could be a little better, but at least they aren't performing terrible. Bouillon seems to be slowly getting better even if his overall isn't really reflecting it. Hopefully his overall bumps up here soon. I believe it also time to move on from Hanifin, as he is getting older. Ea again, with the goalie voodoo. Schmid becomes terrible, Hunter becomes mid and Leonov is decent. Compared the last year where Leonov was terrible and Schmid was great. Classic
Got to love how things turned around and what and acquisition to bolster our defensive core. Didn't expect that kind of a jump in his offensive production with how he seemed to sim. We definitively need to tweak that PK but, apart from that, things are looking good. Lets hope we're not another casuality of EA voodoo as, on paper, we should be destroying the team we're facing; their 1st line would be our 3rd or 4th line so it should be a mismatch but we know how these things usually turn out... Lets step on their necks and make sure they can't get back up. Go 'Nucks!
Neither did I! Very proud of how that trade worked out and goes to show that you can't always look at a player's stats on one team and think that's who he'll always be.
