I would definitely send it back that way they can send you a new one. the edge is very important and Spyderco has higher standards than what you got. The Para 3 is an outstanding knife & I'm very sorry that you had to experience this as your first Spyderco. Unless you know how to sharpen it and don't want to hassle with shipping it back and the wait time. If you do know how to sharpen it then I would go route.
Fox knives made in Italy and are Danish designed are also a great choice. Jesper voxnaes makes great designs. He also has some knives made by crkt. If you want a cheap knife you can lose try a morakniv which are fixed blades. Or a opinel.
There are companies in the United States you can have merchants ship your items to. The companies will then box it all up for you and ship it overseas. Here is one such company that does it and supposed to be cheaper. I had a couple buyers on Ebay use these types of companies. US Mail & Package Forwarding Service | USAbox.com www.usabox.com/
Just got my first Spyderco knife today. A PM 2 with a black S90V blade and Tiffany blue G-10 scales. It feels awesome and is so sharp out of the box. I’m definitely a Spyderco fan now. Thanks for the video.
I would contact spyderco my friend. Just seeing that chip made me cringe 😬 I’m sure if you send an email with a picture, they’ll let you use it till they replace it with a new one since you’re so far away. Great video and review by the way
This was an awesome video. I loved getting to see the knife that I'm considering picking up for my minimalist EDC kit in action, and getting to see the beautiful scenery there, and your precious fur babies was a massive plus. You have a new subscriber. Keep up the great work!
First timer watching & love the farming. I operate tractors & equipment for work too. I’m a knife🔪 enthusiast & Para 3 is my favorite field EDC knife👍🏻. Can’t go wrong w/Para 3 or Paramilitary 2 (bigger size) I use a serrated one too for plant material. Now that QC for the chipped blade is out of norm for Spyderco....I’d definitely reach out to the sender🤔. I Will stay tuned 🚜!
Thanks, man! I´m new to the whole knife scene, but i can really see why people get hooked on knives! I love it! Really considering the para 2, i´ll probably go there eventually. Thanks for watching!
That is a very perfect knife, I could use one like that, so you never found your old knife, well, You got an even better one now, Fits great in the back pocket of the work pants, no more sore ass sitting on your knife. glad for you !
Ordered a para 3 lightweight today, can’t wait! And be careful when using the grinder on old oil barrels, they tend to still contain fumes and explode when you cut thru. Fill it with water first to be safe.
I prefer how the paramilitary 2 blade tip is more inline with the centerline of the hand giving you a more instinctive motion for stabbing/penetrating tasks such as packing tape on a box or bag you wish to open.
My parents run a small ranch similar to you. You could do like my mom and just have knives everywhere! She usually has a knife of some kind hanging by all the barn doors and gates. Usually just old kitchen knives, but they work. Good edc knife choice.
Just discovered your channel.. sweet editing! You being any other than a farmer is kinda hard to believe.. subbed. Oh yeah, get the Para 2 for your next bigger blade.
i am so jealous (in a good way) that you have so many animals and you enjoy this wonderful scenery every day... i wish i could live like that with my wife and 2 newborns.. but im stuck in the city.. :(
thanks. I'm an academic by trade but have never been able to get by without a pocket knife. Nobody I know can understand why I carry one until it's needed in the presence then they are amazed at how useful it is.
The Spyderco Delica is even thinner. The ZDP steel version is very nice. The half-serrated version is also very useful. Thanks for the video. I'm an American, but my ancestors came from Norway. God dag.
Hahaha, I have a PM2 and three young children and my wife is always complaining because I cannot stop fidgeting while watching TV and so. Great videos dude! Congrats!!
Dude, I came to look at the Para 3 and ended up looking at how fun your life looks! Good on you. If you're after a second knife and don't want to break the bank, I'd recommend the Ontario Rat II. If you're wanting something you casn drop on the floor and not worry about losing it then get the Rat in orange. It's around $50 so a great 'beater' knife. Anyway, really enjoyed your video! Thanks again :)
Farmer E I’ve got the s110v stell version though, because I usually need to break down a lot of cardboard to recycle it and I don’t have enough patience to sharpen the blade too often
Thx for your great and beautifull video. Indeed you will love the paramilitary 2 from spyderco. You can really use that knife hard. Keep t up. Best regards
The Spyderco salt series is great for farming (corrosion-proof, so super easy to clean). For a veggie farmer, a longer serrated Atlantic or Pacific model would be perfect harvest knives. Or the Native salt, for the standard utility stuff shown in the video (the native is nicely stout and compact).
So I bought the para 3 after watching your video I was on the fence about but you put in work with your knife looks like it takes a beating so I’m sold do you still love your knife
As I´m from Sweden myself I immediately saw from the bulding style that it was from Scandinavia but not before I clicked on "more" in the description I found out that you´re Norwegian. I think you made a good choice with the para3. I really enjoy my manix2 from spyderco but I feel like the tip is ground too thin like the para to be a really hard use knife. I would have recommended a cold steel code 4, American lawman or recon1 for you being a farmer and what not. With that being said my manix 2 has had been through a lot and is still kicking
Awesome knife! I probably would’ve picked some thing a bit sturdier for Farm work though lol but that’s just me. The chip is unfortunate and I’m sure Spyderco would take care of it if you contacted them
So, i did buy this as a new knife, but from a reseller, not from Spyderco.
from which re-seller did you get this? :))) I personally fancy knivesandtools.com, great guys

Dude Spyderco should send u a new knife that chip is uncalled for
They would fix the chip, but I understand not waiting. Great video man. Quality stuff.
@R A they would since it came out the box like that
Agree that is ridiculous. Should re place the blade free
No way is that knife brand new, Spyderco would never let that pass through quality inspections. Where did you get this knife from?
@@Rick-mo2zm i agree Rick. I've never had a bad spyderco out of the box. Sal and Eric Glesser would freak out seeing that!
You're such a likable dude. I love the production quality of your videos. Subscribed! cant wait for more!
Thank you so much, Taylor! That makes me so happy and inspired to hear!
Agreed, and subscribed. I only wanted to see your opinion of the para 3, but I love your videos.
Thank you, Robert!

What a great video, came for the knife review and the wonderful scenery took over.
Your igniting barrel, handful of hot-dogs, and opening of beer segment was amazing.
Looks like a good choice. I am impressed by the beauty of the area in which you live.
I love it!
Yeah, it is beautiful. Although, i don’t allways notice when living in it.
You also have an amazing scenery!
for a farmer, I must say the videography is superb

you can also use a sawzall instead of a grinder since it doesn't throw sparks, negates having to fill with water before hand 👍
Great video. Hope you do an update on the knife and show us how it holds up to tough use over time. Also, that's a beautiful piece of land you've got.
Thank you, i will!!!
Outstanding knife video!

Well, I think Spyderco should send you a Para 2 for the chip and the review. Then you can do a comparison video.

excellent knife. excellent video. excellent channel. #Respect & God Bless!
