A reminder that this doesn't mean you can't give a present to your wife or children, simply don't do it because of their birthday or like anniversary, do it to show how much you care and love them as your family.
That’s how shaytan Whispers changing the way
You don't need a special day to do this. Show your wife and children every day that you love them :)
You should show your love towards your family, wife or kids anytime, anyday of the year, not a particular day, 🤦♀

Here is another issue with doing extravagant birthdays for kids. Those kids grow up with a false sense of entitlement, many of them that I know who are now in their 30's or close to 40. They still haven't grown up since their families made a huge deal about birthdays. Most ppl with low key birthdays end up normal. These kids with huge birthdays have not done anything in life to deserve that celebration while they still have all the luxuries of life, but this makes them more entitled. Then when things don't turn out as amazing in real life in theor 20's 30's 40's they have serious mental breakdowns. Sorry to offend anyone but this is very common.
Thank you soo much sir❤️❤️ for clearing this comfusion i was very confused about this bcoz nowadays it becomes very normal😔 in our muslim culture if i refuse to celebrate they think i m mad ....

Maa shaa allah...
Crystal clear explanation....

May allah give jannah to dr zakir naik.... ameen
Dr zakir naik is the icon.. True hero❤❤❤respect
I watched the old videos of Dr Zakir Naik where he said it is permissible to celebrate as long as haram activities are not involved. He said there is no verse in the Quran, there is no sahih hadith which says don't celebrate the birthdays. It seems now he has changed his opinion buthe didn't give any reference why it is haram. Birthday comes in worldly affairs and we know everything is Permissible in worldly affairs unless proven haram. He said we have only two festivals in Islam. Yes we know but who says my birthday is a festival in Islam, it is a private matter of a person. He said birthday celebration is of western culture etc. but we know as long as any culture doesn't go against Sharia and is not unique to someone it is halal. Birthday celebration is not unique to anyone so per say it is halal (avoid all haram activities in birthday celebration). On what basis he said haram, he should have given Evidences as he himself says what Zakir says is Zero what Allah and His Prophet say carry weight. So we don't find anything in the Quran and Sunnah to say it is haram. Yes, we can say it is not a part of Islam but can't say haram because only Allah has the right to forbid in Islam not the humans. Yes we can forbid in our schools, homes, family, in countries but we can't say Islam has prohibited it unless we give evidence.
Note:
Birthday celebration is not bidah because it doesn't come under the heading of religion.
Birthday celebration is not the imitation of kuffar as we know it is not unique for anyone.
Whatever is the origin we should see present status. Is nike products haram? See the origin of Nike brand/name for understanding this.
Hope the answer to the question.
Additional Points: I am adding few additional points here after reading comments. Celebrating your own birthday and celebrating the birthday of Prophet (peace be upon him) are not one and the same thing. Celebrating Prophet's (peace be upon him) birthday is totally haram because if you do anything related to Prophet (peace be upon him) will automatically fall in the category of religion as he was Messenger of Allah. You can't say I am celebrating his birthday and it has nothing to do with Islam etc.
Yes brother you right now some scholars are now trying to show islam has very hard religion where nothing is permissible
But if we see quran and sunnah we find islam is very logical and beautiful religion but now scholars ruining actual islam
and i am muslim by choice
Birthday celebration is not haram, as a Muslim scholar i know that. But extremism can make even miladun nabi haram. Miladun nabi is jaez celebrations. It is an extension of talaul badru...if we follow extremism everything is biddah even using mics and loudspeakers for adhaan as they were not used in Prophets times.

Neither any provision of Quran or hadith stops us from celebrating. And as far as cake is concerned it is also a food (Rizq). Ask yourself this question: if your birthday is not celebrated the way you wanted it or not celebrated at all, will that really take away meaning and happiness from your life? Seriously? If yes, then you have a lot more to worry about than finding out if birthdays are halal or haram.
If you have your health and basic provisions taken care of, then using birthdays to get happiness out of life will still not make you happy. There's a million other blessings you can count that should make you happy and then you won't think about wasting time on waiting for or celebrating birthdays

I know why you answering like that, there is no logical answer you have, because you are against Milad ,

I don’t get why ppl celebrate Milad even tho the Prophet (saw) and the Sahaba never did it

Brother, according to Zakir naik logic, 15 august,26 January in India and 14 august in Pakistan is haraam, and national day in saudi Arabia also haraam...but extreme whhabi govt in saudi arabia celebrate their national day.
Who are you to sit there and pass verdicts so arrogantly on behalf of Allah? Have you met him and he told you music was not permissible? Why is it not permissible? because it's common in Western culture? For your info, Muslims used to enjoy music back in Andalus long ago. And what's wrong with a bit of decent music to lighten a person's mood? Why would Islam or any sensible religion object to that?
The same goes for birthdays. If you wish to associate them with the devil, then of course it will seem very satanic, but if you think of them as an innocent way to reflect on the previous year and make the start for a better year to come, then no logical religion would object to that.
Islam is a religion of logic and rationality. It's there to make you a better person and bring you closer to God. It's not there to confuse people with complicated laws on what's permissoble and what's not.
Just follow what's in the Koran and Hadith, and for the rest, use your own common sense and judgement. Those bearded 'sheikhs' who sit there and pass fatwas have neither met Allah nor his prophet, so they don't know more than you do. Just do the fundamentals right and you'll be fine.
thank you! you said exactly whats on my mind! unless people are going around drinking and getting high, why does it matter😐 same for any other celebrations as long as its done in a halal way.

What if I invite friends and we eat food without cutting any cake.
It is still annual or for arguments sake repetitive. So not permissible brother unless some one off graduation or brothers gathering of knowledge etc
@@Mo786productions This is a weak argument. A person can invite his friends for get together end have a feast celebration annually. It wouldn't in it self still be prohibited.
With all due respect to Dr Zakir Naik, I think it's a weak argument and other scholars have said the hadith that talks about the Eid celebration is referring to "religious public celebration" and not worldly or personal or customary of nature.
A beautiful principle quoted by Ibn Taymiyyah:
Ibn Taymiyyah wrote:
With regard to customs, they are things that people are used to doing in their worldly affairs. The basic principle concerning them is that they are not forbidden. Nothing of that is forbidden except what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden. That is because commands and prohibitions have to do with the religion of Allah, and acts of worship must necessarily be enjoined. If something is not proven to have been enjoined, then how can it be deemed an act of worship? With regard to customs, if there is no text to prove that a custom is forbidden, how can it be deemed to be forbidden?
Source: Majmu‘ al-Fatawa 29/16-17
@@faysalahmed9157 i agree. Dr Naik here just states himself if it is a annual occasion then it is prohibited, without actually giving any reasons for why a annual action becomes a prohibition. Also Dr Naik agrees to the Friday eid, which is celebrated weekly and its sole purpose of being special was due to it being the day Adam a.s was created, therefore are we not celebrating the birth day of Adam a.s every week? The day he was created being so special that a specific preyer was sent upon the Ummah of Our beloved Rasool s.a.w as a blessing for us.
🤣
@@faysalahmed9157 Brother when we look at the origins of "celebrating birthdays" is a sunnah of firaun , it was celebrated as the birth of God (na auzbillah) as firaun used to consider him self as God & it was also by Pagans of Greeks who used to celebrated the birth of moon goddess (na ausbillah) as per the most authentic proofs available.
So i can argue citing the above that in Islam it's prohibited to copy culture and Celebration of other religions.
And then as per shariah we cannot circle a single day and start celebrating annually/monthly/weekly...it's a bidah.

But before sir in your lecture which I remember you had said that its karoo to celebrate birthday
Evry week Prophet s w had fasting , and somone ask why .. he said that day i born .. if its haram then why prophet s w celebrated evry week by saying it was my birth day ? He celebrated by ibada, why we cant celebrte atlst once in a year not evry week ? We can have good food we can donate somone somthing .. on that day. .. Hw it gona be haram if prophet sw did evryweek ? Its in sahi hadeeth. Zakir naik more in to wahabi ideology ..

Zakir nike was always in Wahabi ideology

Then we shouldn’t celebrate so many wedding ceremonies too
Ban everything.
You people have made it so difficult that there are people who refuse to even eat a birthday cake
Whole family in one room happy and eating cake and there will be one member separating himself and not even accepting to eat the cake
As if that food is haram!
And who considers birthday as festival?
Wedding is also celebrated but it’s not called festival.
on a birthday Aqiqa is celebrated but we don’t call it festival
Every country has their own traditions and many celebrations.
What is wrong with the word western?
Who said only eastern culture is Islamic?
Did we have Islam in the east?
Why west can’t have Islam? Or why westure culture can be islamic?
In the starting only Arabia had islam
It spread slowly to east and now it is present Alhamdulillah in the west too.
So to give reason that it is western culture to celebrate birthdays then there are so many other western celebrations,
For example graduation ceremonies.
I think all the sheikhs and sheikhas and scholars should sit together and rethink about the reasons they are giving about why of all the celebrations they pick on birthdays
Allah Knows Best
And May Allah Guide us all
Remember everything is halal unless Allah Made is Haram.
Opinion is something else but to declare it as haram I am not sure if that would be acceptable.
Sitting in neck tie shirt suit trousers
That’s also copying western culture
The skull cap is copying Jewish people
The decor of your set is western too!
The RUclips channel
The technology all is western!
I agree with your answer sir 100%❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Every indian illegally occupied KASHMIRI has the same question😂😂...
We all have the same mindset...
Masyaa Allah... barakallah fiik... Islam has a high degree, there is no need to follow the culture of other religions. What Allah commands in the Quran and the Sunnah is sufficient. Islam must be able to transmit goodness with high morals and leave everything that is useless
Not only that, there's nothing worse than when you're fasting and praying Ramadan and observing 10 days of dhiul hijjah, non Muslims asking you to come celebrate their birthday. We're busy in our devotion to Allah and have no regard for these trivial celebrations
Great person a ideal Muslim we should proud for him that in our live we got a great Muslim deep respect for Dr. Zakir naik
- Name: Dr. Zakir Naike. 💜
Nationality: Indian.
- Profession: A human doctor, the most powerful Islamic advocate in comparing religions in the world at present, and the reason for the conversion of tens of thousands of people.
- Capabilities: Memorizing the Qur'an and the Bible in all its versions, the Torah and Hinduism in full. He has a first class computer mind, and there are many channels on RUclips that publish his interviews translated into Arabic that you can follow.
That no one in the whole world was able to defeat him in an argument or argument
It is the reason why thousands of people of all sects and religions converted to Islam at his hands, including monks, priests, rabbis and Buddhist priests.
He wanted to enlighten the dark minds and guide them to the path of truth and righteousness
Allah bless Dr. Zakir Naik
This is bs.
In this case watching TV should be haram because you could watch non mehrab by accident, driving cars should be haram because then you might want to show off like non Muslims
The Messiah's suffering would include thirst
Prophecy:
"My mouth is dried up like a potsherd,
and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth;
you lay me in the dust of death" (Psalm 22:15).
Fulfillment:
"Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, 'I am thirsty'" (John 19:28).
The Messiah would be scorned
Prophecy:
"'He trusts in the Lord,' they say,
'let the Lord rescue him.
Let him deliver him,
since he delights in him'" (Psalm 22:8).
Fulfillment:
"'He saved others,' they said, 'but he can’t save himself! He’s the king of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him. He trusts in God. Let God rescue him now if he wants him, for he said, "I am the Son of God"'" (Matthew 27:42-43).
The Messiah would be forsaken
Prophecy:
"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so far from saving me,
so far from my cries of anguish?" (Psalm 22:1)
Fulfillment:
"About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, 'Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?' (which means 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?')" (Matthew 27:46).
Very stupid and ignorant talk. Celebrating birthdays and anniversaries are not against Islam at all, as long as nothing forbidden is done. How unfortunate that muslims are being misled by this stupidity.
May Allah bless you Sheykh... Thanks for not twisting hadith's to accomodate disbelievers lifestyle to be permissible... Other scholars twist around this subject unfortunately
It is believed that the body has memory, hence one must not have multiple sexual partners.... then what about men ?? When they are allowed 4 wives ?? Does their body memory get disturbed ??
And also does islam believe in body memory ?? Water memory and such concepts??
Suprisingly I am recommended this video Today and Coincidently my Nephew Birthday is Today.I think that Artificial Intelligence is Getting more and more intelligent in Comming years as it caught my opionion today without being it revealed.🙂🙂🙂
That's not artificial intelligent but the way Allah just popped this video infront of you so from now onwards you get hadayat. that's how sometimes Allah just shows us the way(the hadayat) so that we get of this materialistic world.
Your first name is English, you have an Islamic middle name. But your last name literally says "Hindu".
Wow, you must have a diverse family. 🙂

Aameen.
So all the annual celebrations of madrasas In name of
khatme Bukhari and salana tasees programs of big Madrassas are non islamic because they are celebrated annually
Like wise National day of Saudi Arabia is also haram because it is celebrated annually ? ?
Thats why he mentioned celebrating on Graduation is permissible
Point🤔
Khatme bukhari is not for one person every year. Its for different people each year. Like graduation Party.
LOL and ISISlam calls itself ''peaceful''. Its against literally EVERYTHING!
good question to ask and the answer was clear jezakellah ya sheik we love you so much

I had seen that video too, and I thought ok that's great...I can wish.. but now this, so I agree, we are all learning, and will continue doing so till we die... jazaak Allah khair
Thnx I got my answer but why when birthday is haram some religious schoolers celebrate Mohammad PBUH birthday
Our beloved scholar ❤.you always come up with precise and easy-to-understand answers
His verdict is authentic according to the Qur'an and authentic Hadith. Decision is there in 02:40 to 02:58
MashaAllah this is a good message to everyone
Allah send after evry 100 years a mujaddid one the earth who who made the din religion new and stronger its hadeed
Do you have any reason from the quran or the hadith to say that it is aginist islam i donot think so
celebrating birthday ( particularly ) is no where mention in islam BUT copying others(religion) activities is not PERMISSIBLE
Is it allowed for muslim girls to teach in islam on u tube without showing her face just with her voice
Lot of love ❤
We miss you 😭

No, he should go to pakistan for a holiday first......
@@robindranathrobindranath7191 he is not from Pakistan. He is a indian so stop acting like a owner of India.
I'm an Indian muslim.. zakir used to roam in India in bullet proof bmw car with bodyguards.. after infuriating people of all religions to gain stardom/popularity, he ran away like a coward leaving all the muslims at the mercy of the non muslims in India.. what a coward!!!
Is it sirk to celebrate birthdays?
