    Love the Felicia Leatherwood brush. Found out I needed more of a trim than I thought and my detangling went down from 3hrs to 45mins 😭🙏🏾❤

    Hello 👋🏽. Your hair is thick and beautiful. I am new to the curly cut debate and I can’t decide if the controversy is about cutting natural hair while curly or about if whether using oils and butters is necessary. My “opinion” is that gel is being used as a replacement for O&B so neither product is better than the other. Also, curlies are using “a lot” of gel in the hair to get the curls so I’m confused about that. I have come across YT’er Blowout Professor (a white guy stylist) and he is really back to basics approach: shampoo, conditioner,& leave in to retain the moisture.

      Thanks for sharing! I do think quite a few of naturals are potentially overusing product and struggling to figure out water to product ratio which could hinder their drying process and style outcome. They may have gotten away from the simplified approach when it was first introduced and went mainstream.

    Hi! Thank you for this helpful video! Do you leave in the hydrating cream conditioner or wash out before you add gel?

    • @itstruedestiny
      @itstruedestiny  Год назад

      I wash it out. If you wanted a leave in conditioner I heard great things about the innersense one.

    You always do such a good job describing nuance. Have you tried the ICV yet? I can’t remember. I still need to try the ICD!
    Also, Reminder to everyone that she said this is a brand review and her hair is hydrated and her regimen is consistent! If your hair is not hydrated, this combination may not be best for you. Doesn’t mean the products aren’t good. We use certain products at certain times for certain reasons. ICH has both humectant and anti humectant properties. So if you have not been on top of your hydration, it may not be the best base for you right now!

    • @itstruedestiny
      @itstruedestiny  Год назад

      Thank you for making this point very clear! I wouldn’t be able to use ICH without being on top of my hydration. I haven’t tried I create volume just yet but I did get a sample pack that I plan to try sometime soon.

    Are the innersense gel and foam supposed to be paired together? Results look good

    • @itstruedestiny
      @itstruedestiny  Год назад +2

      I wouldn’t pair them together consistently because you want something a bit more moisturizing underneath like a base gel.

    I’ve been a long time Innerscence user. My hair loves it, but why should products be emulsified?

    • @itstruedestiny
      @itstruedestiny  Год назад +5

      To help with easier application and distribution of product throughout your hair. It helps you use less product overall and still get the same quality results (aka saving you a little money by not using so much product).

    • @kapparhotau181
      @kapparhotau181 Год назад

      I didn't have to emulsify. I used one pump and put on my roots and smoothed it down my strands then raked it thru my hair. But I do have high porosity so my hair drinks up most products. Low porosity you probably want to emulsify to absorb the product

    Hi Destiny! You and I have similar length, when I sit under my dryer, an imprint from the dryer develops a line around the bottom inch of my hair from where it is longer than the dryer (if that makes sense). I’m wondering if you have any issues with that and how you deal with your hair sticking out the bottom of the dryer?

    • @itstruedestiny
      @itstruedestiny  11 месяцев назад +1

      I’m not exactly sure what you mean by imprint. I wish I could see what you are talking about. My hair does hang out from the hooded dryer. At a certain point while I’m under the hooded dryer I dry the rest of my hair with my diffuser so I don’t completely dry out my crown area. My hair is probably about 70% dry when I make the switch to my handheld dryer. I hope that makes sense. My stylists does a similar thing as well in the salon. I hope that helps. You can always dm me so I can see what you’re talking about.

      @@itstruedestiny sorry, I know it’s kinda unclear lol but that’s helpful! I’m probably sitting under the hooded dryer too long bc don’t want to diffuse for long lol

      A lot of foams on the market don’t provide a lot of shine but Mousse Def and ICD do a pretty good job of providing shine to the hair.

      @curlscoilsandthings good morning lady, I've been addicted to ICD on top of UFD for weeks now. The volume and sheen that I get amazing & my style last for 7-8 days. For the other mousse it doesn't have good hold. I'm considering trying out the style queen beauty coconut one

    Hiya Auntie Julie! Beautiful WnG set!💜 I haven't used the IHHB condish yet just the shampoo. I bought the 1L of Boost for the last Black Friday so I don't need another condish since I'm all about keeping my stash down to only what I'm using. I haven't given up on ICH yet, but it is not my favorite styler by any means. There is no way I could use ICH alone and get anything other than Ramen noodle curls in a cement cast.🤣🤣 I don't even use a 1/2 pump per quadrant section of hair when I top it over UFD.

    • @PreppyFay12
      @PreppyFay12 Год назад

      Same I definitely gave up on my ICH though 😂. I’m currently using The Doux’s Bee Girl Custard instead and playing around with the water ratios to get a fluffier look. I also plan on using it with UFD at some point to see if I can get a fast drying fluffier set. At first the Bee Girl Custard gave me the same results as ICH and was too hard but I think I have better technique and better condition of hair. I use a small amount to start and see if it defines be seoarates before adding more water or product.

    • @1GoldenBreeze
      @1GoldenBreeze Год назад

      @@PreppyFay12 I haven't used Bee Girl. My favorites are Obia Naturals and Kinky-Curly. I've been doing WnG for a long time and only tried ICH because I saw that BGC used it in the salon so I thought it might be better. I still think ICH is a good gel, it's just not my preference. I have a lot of it left to use up because I'm not wasting it. Maybe I'll find a way to make it work. Who knows?🤣🤣

    • @PreppyFay12
      @PreppyFay12 Год назад

      @@1GoldenBreeze Yeah same that’s why tried it / my current stylist used it before switching to something else now. I definitely think it’s a preference thing. It’s definitely concentrated and a quality product I just couldn’t get the ratio down/ didn’t like the flat finish it gave I prefer a fluffier set like a day 2 or day 3 on day 1 look to start out. I wash my hair every 3 days so that’s my preference. I also didn’t like how it felt during the styling process also possibly because of my lack of good technique. It doesn’t glide along my hair strands smoothly but it sure does flatten it out but couldn’t go much raking. I find Bee Girl performs better for my finish and for my styling experience level. I think it’s more user friendly.

      @@PreppyFay12 I shampoo twice a week. It could be that those who want a longer-lasting set prefer ICH, idk. The application wasn't a problem for me.

      Not ramen noodle curls in a cement cast. 😭😭😭 I definitely plan on purchasing Kinky Curly soon to play around with soon. I feel like it could give me the hold and fluffiness I’m looking for without rationing ICH.
