Hi, here in Australia they were quite common in the seventies, eighties and Nineties. Normally they would be diesels. A friend of mine had a yellow one with the diesel engine and back in 2007 decided to sell it. Back in those days they were not really valued even though it was in very good condition. He advertised it in a Sydney newspaper for $6500 and in two weeks only received two phone calls. The first call was from a guy in the South Island of New Zealand who had a mini production line to restore old Land Cruisers and purchased it sight unseen. The second call was from a guy in Florida who really wanted to buy it, but missed out. That really opened my eyes, as to just how important these vehicles are. Every Land Cruiser is special in its own way. My Dad had a short wheel base FJ45 and I have a 100 series wagon and they are the greatest touring vehicles you could own. Thanks for your time.
What a beautiful piece of engineering made only better with your company's work! Wish I had one of these bad boys I don't think I'd need more than this truck and a trailer to travel all over the us!
Just "Dirty" enough for me. My old plate read TRU00P and I have been called Trooper ever since 98' except by my sister in-law of course who calls me True Op. lol I miss her so much... my old Troopy. LOL
Really nice, here in Europe are a bit more common but still rear, I have one fully restored with a hj61 turbo diesel engine, the extra length makes it much more practicle then a 40 or 42...
Hopefully they installed a limited slip unit in the rear differential, otherwise hard acceleration around a corner is gonna spin the inside tire like mad! Or a locker for off road
If you ever dare to come to Venezuela you will see tons of this things, some in a pretty decent condition but most of them all beaten up and almost all working as "buses".
So glad you shared! What a badass machine to have that much capacity and function but can now haul ass as well. I had been wandering which motor you had been using when you say EEE ROD. 6.2 liters. That's awesome.
Wow, I am amazed there is no rust in it! Neat as a pin. Most of them out here have been flogged to death. For the nay-sayers, I doubt the ol' 2H would make the grade in California.
Mr. Ward or ICON artists, Sorry... Im sure you have answered this question before. What is the reason why Toyota doesn't work with you guys to sell modern engines for your FJ model restorations? Its unfortunate that you are able to stay true to the brand on the Bronco with Ford engines, and Hemi engines in your Dodge/Chrysler products. Hope you are able to get Toyota to change their mind. My dream would be an FJ44 or 45 with a Totota V8. Keep up the amazing work!
Lástima que sólo sea para personas apasionadas por la restauración y la satisfacción de tener un vehículo único, ya que comprar ahora uno así puede llegar a costar más de 60k $us 😢

Its great to have people like Jonathan around . What better person to help you make an idea come to life.
I adore the troopy body style. Can't wait until I can send one to Icon TLC for a revamp. You truly make the most amazingly beautiful landcruisers

I used to see one with old bus mirrors on it, it looked cool.
There's so much room around that motor, it would be easy to work on.
I don't know why, but I like the proportions. I like the rear overhang.
i want to go to an Icon car show these are so cool
Great idea

It was not restored so.....
They were always wavy from the factory. It's the spot welds inside.

wait a minute, what are those dimples on the gauge display?
Quit, just quit
I am talking of the few dents that are visible in the gauge display. What do you mean by quit? You see them at 1:47
Looks like it got a few dents in it. They should be able to replace it.
I dig it.
