Montezuma Castle (Season 3 Episode 1)

Join us as we start a new season discovering all that Arizona has to offer. Today, we visited Montezuma Castle in Camp Verde, AZ. Montezuma Castle National Monument protects a set of well-preserved dwellings that were built and used by the Sinagua people, a pre-Columbian culture closely related to the Hohokam and other indigenous peoples of the southwestern United States, between approximately AD 1100 and 1425.

The visitor center exhibits haven’t changed very much since my last visit (maybe two decades ago). But an excellent, educational visitor center that prepared you for the cliff dwelling.

It was a very informative visitor center. How neat that it hasn’t changed much. We really enjoyed visiting the cliff dwelling. It was so fascinating.
