Holding onto my REITS for dear life haha. Been adding to them from time to time, when I can afford it. Done well with some, terrible with others. It's been a good lesson. Don't chase yields. You will get burned. Take a strong yield only if there is a strong financial base base backing it coupled with a diligent management team.
No cuts in US, no cuts in Canada.
Regardless of Canadian economic state.
Granite and killam reits are the two I own currently
In with Granite, Dream, and NWH.
Granite has been okay. Going to be selling Dream eventually as they don’t increase their dividend. Bought the dip with NWH and it’s now one of my best performers but I’m not contributing to it anymore.
Whats your average price for nwh?
@@krnvirsingh 4.30
@hollywilliams7023 thats a good price
Mine is around 7.5 I started buying when it was more than 10$
Was great to see you touch on MPW and NWH!
I only have NWH-UN. Since my purchases started I’m 16% up. Definitely planning to keep it much much longer
Congrats on the 20 k subs !!🎉
Thanks 🙏 nothing crazy but appreciate my small corner of finance RUclips
Got a decent 50k position in allied with avg yield around 10.5. Div growth is a bit low, just under 3% over 10 years... But I'm liking that cash TODAY vs in the future. Hold it in my TFSA to avoid full taxation on distributions.
Needing the dividend income for retirement... Like the 80%affo... Received special dividend this year.. best in class commercial properties.
Their earning calls expects this year to be fairly slow but better hopes for 2025+.
Lets gooo! 🎉
Thank you. What percentage should I make reits in my portfolio? I already have them at 20% and still have over 50% cash after withdrawing all my retirement money from Sunlife
Depends on your comfort level and do you already own physical realestate? Just be careful being over exposed to one sector
@PassiveIncomeInvestor
Thank you for the advice. I own my house and the basement rental with my pension should be more than enough for me when I retire within 10 years. Still like to invest rather than keep my RRSP with Sunlife who gave me next to nothing after several years. Is 50% in reits too much?
Seems like the real housing creah hasn't even begun yet
Interesting, I’ve been hearing a lot of REIT talk lately, If I’m being honest. I appreciate the insight, I’m gonna look around myself and see what I potentially like. And see if it has a place within my portfolio👨💼
Sold a lot of my HR-UN I gave up two years of waste of time
Sold that means someone else bought.
@@martinithechobit yeah have fun waste to much time doing nothing for me. We ain’t getting a rate cut so it ain’t moving up this year anyways.
