Throughout the past 9 episodes, I felt a bond form which almost seemed as if they were family and that's why I kept watching the show but now that one member's gone, it'll never be the same.
Shen Mengchen's actions honestly upset me even if we take the fact that they are supposed to act as though they are at actual war out of the equation. I mean she had the best score of the 4 if their team loses she was basically willing to sacrifice Sun Yang to save her friend and that wasn't right.
Yes..She does not have the right to prevent anybody from winning. Everyone has a goal. She cannot impose what she wants to anyone. Sun Yang is an Olympic Champion. He has a reputation to uphold..can't this lady understand it??? I thought she is ok. Crying like a small girl and just bcoz nobody will fix her hair??? is she dumb..Very disappointed in her.

This episode definitely presented the cold reality of being in the army. I think we can all understand where Mengchen was coming from but I also think that after all the time they've spent there they would know what they would have to do. I don't think Zitao and Liya would have blamed Sunyang and Mengchen if the latter had won (or the other way round), because they would have all done their best and given their circumstances unfortunately their best would just not have been enough. I think that although one of them would have been eliminated, they would have been so knowing they did their best until the end
Ok... I understand that she doesn't want Tong Liya to leave...but she also should've put herself in the place of Sun Yang... He's a Champion in his sport, that makes him have a really big desire to win, he said like in the war things are not like this. Even the instructor said that since he is a champion his desire to win is really scary. Making him lose on purpose is a very big blow to his ego as a champion, in addition to demoralizing him and making him feel bad for wanting something that he has always aimed for when competing or fighting ... winning
PLUS. Furthermore, doing that can also demoralize the other team, because they will think: "We won, yes. But we won because they let us win, not on our own merit"
I found it annoying when Shen Meng Chen held Sun Yang back. The whole point is to win, that's the goal & she tried to jeopardise his hard work for personal reasons.
TOTALLY AGREE. Sad to say, but I didn't even cry a single tear throughout her whole emotional goodbye. I like what Lanxi said. Those who were eliminated wanted so badly to fly a jet, and there were the others of the four, just throwing their chances away. Ugh!
From Shen Mengchen's point of view, I understand that she wanted to give others a chance, but given the situation, it is absolutely unacceptable what she did. They were mimicking a real life scenario, and what she did would cause her and her team to die in real battle. I was surprised that she ended up having to go, as I thought they would put her with the ground crew.
Although I initially watched TARM because of Taotao, Shen Meng Chen turned out to be my favorite among the cast.I cried so much during this episode I thought I was watching an episode of Scarlet Heart Ryeo or something. I like Mengchen too despite the fact that she is largely criticized by netizens for her behaviour in the battlefield. She does have to learn her responsibilities as a soldier, but I am really moved by how much she cherishes her friendship with Yaya. I think Mengchen's gone, but Tong Liya will stay as she has appeared in the preview of the next episode :)

it's kinda awkward how they're always taught wrong pronunciation... like they were talking about trees instead of the number three, and now the immediately... but aside from that... this episode was really the first one that made me feel the military, and envy their sense of patriotism. I'm still a teen, I left my country for the simple reason that I'm going on a specialised school in a different one now because we don't have those. and I don't feel I'm missing anything at all. but aside from that... this episode was really the first one that made me feel the military, and envy their sense of patriotism. I'm still a teen, I left my country for the simple reason that I'm going on a specialised school in a different one now because we don't have those. and I don't feel I'm missing anything at all.
